ഞാൻ ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്നത് onshore റിഗ്ഗിൽ ആയിരുന്നു , എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞാൽ കരയിൽ നിന്നും കുഴിച്ചെടുക്കുന്ന രീതി . ഡ്രിൽ ചെയ്യാനുപയോഗിക്കുന്ന പൈപ്പുകൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ചല്ല ഇന്ധനങ്ങൾ പുറത്തേക്കെടുക്കുന്നത്. ഞാൻ ഇന്ധനങ്ങൾ എന്ന്‌ ഉപയോഗിച്ചത് പല സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും പല തരത്തിലുള്ള ഇന്ധനങ്ങൾ ആണ് കിട്ടുന്നത് , ഗ്യാസ് , വൈറ്റ് പെട്രോൾ , കണ്ടൻസ് ഓയിൽ , ക്രൂഡ് ഓയിൽ തുടങ്ങിയവ . ഇന്ധനങ്ങൾ പുറത്തേക്കെടുക്കുവാൻ ചെറിയ പൈപ്പുകൾ ആണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. . ഡ്രിൽ ചെയ്ത് കേസിംഗ് പൈപ്പുകൾ അതിനുള്ളിൽ ഇറക്കിയ ശേഷം അതിനിടയിൽ സിമന്റ് പമ്പ് ചെയ്ത് അതിനെ ഉറപ്പിക്കും . ആഴം കൂടുംതോറും കേസിംഗ് പൈപ്പിന്റെ വലുപ്പത്തിൽ വ്യത്യാസം ഉണ്ടാകും . ആദ്യത്തെ നൂറു മീറ്ററിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന കേസിംഗ് പൈപ്പിനെക്കാൾ ചെറുതായിരിക്കും അടുത്ത അഞ്ഞൂറു മീറ്ററിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. ആഴം കൂടുംതോറും ഭൂമിയുടെ കാഠിന്യമനുസരിച് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ഡ്രിൽ ബിറ്റും മാറിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും . ഭൂമിക്കടിയിലെ പാറയിടുക്കുകളിൽ നിന്നും ഇന്ധനമെടുക്കുമ്പോൾ അത്രയും ഭാഗം ശൂന്യമാകുകയും ആ ഭാഗം ഇടിഞ്ഞു താഴാൻ സാധ്യതയുള്ളതുകൊണ്ട് അവിടെ വെള്ളം പമ്പ് ചെയ്ത് നിറക്കുന്ന രീതിയുമൊക്കെയുണ്ട് .ഒരു സൈഡിൽ കൂടി വെള്ളം ശക്തിയായി പമ്പ് ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ മറുവശത്ത് കൂടി ഓയിൽ തനിയെ പുറത്തു വരും. അതിനായി water injection wells ഉണ്ട്. എഴുതാൻ ഒരുപാടുണ്ട് .

Not all wells using pumps to lift the production,there are self flowing wells and gas lifted wells. Crude oil is not pumped to shore using long pipelines in all cases, there are floating production facilities they do store the crude oil and offload to shuttle tankers, where as gas is compressed and sent over long pipelines. Before all these involve a number of processes to condition crude and gas.

Drill bit. Different size of drill bits. Bits are used by Geological Survery of India and other Mining departments too. This drilling is done to find out different Oregon, minerals, gold,, coal etc.. Off shore drilling is different. Difficult process. Crude oil extraction, drilling, transportation is very difficult. Refining is different. There are separate Refinery. There petrol, diesel or kerosene is separated. Normally crude oil is transported to Refinery through large Ships. By large pipes to nearby places also. Deposit of crude oil is not yet calculated.

കുറച്ചു നാൾ ഇവിടെ കിടന്ന് പാട് പെട്ടതാണ്... 6 മാസം കടലിൽ ആണ്. 6 മാസം അവിടെ കിടന്ന് കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടാണ് കരയിൽ കൊണ്ട് വരുന്നത്. പിന്നെ leg ഓട്ടോമാറ്റിക് ആയിട്ട് ആണ് തഴോട്ട് പോകുന്നത്. ഷിപ്പിനെ വലിചു കൊണ്ടാണ് അവിടെ വരെ പോകുന്നത്... ഷിപ്പിന് മുകളിൽ leg ഉണ്ട് അവിടെ പോയിട്ട് അത് തഴോട്ട് ഫിക്സ് ചെയ്യും....
