This uses the "Peach always pulls stitchface" code and therefore this video only serves for idea / theory crafting. It is being discussed if this strat or a toned down version of it can be done without code, given the proper RNG seed. Wakssbm has an Over Limit TAS ( watch?v=pQetwMVP2S4 ) and a TAS getting close to the limit ( watch?v=fLKTC7cHPmw ). One aim would be to finish with a farther distance or higher % than Wak's Over Limit video, but in a legit way, not using codes. The other aim would be to try to get closer to the limit.

Can you pull smth else by getting a turnip 1f later? Or do you have to walkdust if getting the next turnip asap doesn't work? (also I'll check those links out once im back on desktop)

Yes, you get a different turnip every frame, and if you advance the rng (by moving around or doing shield), the outcome changes too. The chance of getting a stitchface out of all possible outcomes is about 1.7%. So getting 3 or 4 stitchfaces in a row is extremely unlikely but still theoretically possible. Beyond that it is difficult to prove though.

@@mugg1991 The expectation value of getting a stitchface by waiting is 60 frames. But with combinations of waiting and walking frames (ignoring walk/stop lag), this goes down to 6f cuz 2^6=64. But that's naive and I'm guessing it's more like 8f avg or more. just messing around with math

I didn't know it was possible to create a black hole with just Peach. I've only ever known the Shine + Super Scope setup. Now I'm curious what actually causes black holes to form.

it works because stitchface turnips have a lot of hitstun. Otherwise you need to keep turnips stunned by shooting at them with super scope.

is this theoretically possible without Tas? if so does that mean peach is the best character in hrc when there is no stage limit or would ice climbers be better?

SinYue both can get to the max %, so it depends on which finisher is done

I tested Peach 999% hit by the Stitch Black Hole with 20xx and it went 79385.3 ft BTD @ 999% with Icys went 142831.0 ft The highest TAS I know of is from ajpanton, getting 830% after, resulting in 80046.7 ft, barely beating Peach

Peach can't do this without a code. No seed has this many stitches in a row.

@@trials_of_death3680 I think that the odds a seed like that in melee exists is virtually infinitesimal. It's virtually not possible (also not to get confused, I'm not saying the odds of this happening are very very very small. I'm saying that the odds of this being even possible to happen in melee are very very very small, to the point we could say with several sigmas of certainty that it's impossible)
