Reading through the comments, I feel that some of you must be pretty young and I don’t mean that in bad way, just inexperienced about life. One comment said that if you love someone no one could make you hide it (I think it was in reference to what they wrote on their Festa profiles). Yes, some one could make you hide it, if it means losing your career and ruing the careers of others. Being gay in Korea is, basically, the equivalent of committing a crime, and you have no laws to protect you, there is no way they would be accepted. The way certain ships act on camera would never be accepted if they were actually gay. My understanding is that ships are okay because they’re not real, the fans love the idea but not the reality (which is messed up and why I don’t ship for fun). Look what happened to the member from Exo that had a baby and got married, they vilified him and that was a heterosexual relationship. If you are going to believe in Taekook, you are going to have accept the fact that you will never get what people get from the other ship because they are NOT a ship. Also, understand that shipping is a part of K-POP and something International fans have a hard time with. This and fanservice are a part of the job, the problem is BTS has never been extreme with fanservice and like you said, do what is within their comfort level so fans think that means there is no fanservice. If you really pay attention you will see, of the maknae line, JK is the least comfortable with certain kinds. It often appears as if he is creating a certain level space that makes him comfortable before engaging. And sometimes, he looks flat out disinterested. This has nothing to do with person he is engaging in the fanservice with, its about his level of comfort with the type of fanservice (remember he is an introvert). The thing that sealed it for me was the exhibition that had one photo of Taekook and JK wasn’t even very visible in that photo. BH wants me to believe that two people that have known each for years had no acceptable photos that could have been included? And the same two people have no unit together, not even a unit that includes a third member? For those of you that read through my rant, my apologies. I just want people to think about the reality these two live in and don’t expect things of them that they may not be able to give. It’s not about moments or content, it’s about their happiness.

I must confess before i found Taehyung in 2017 I didn’t even know shipping and fanservice existed. I got intrigued by the interactions he had with JK. The footages of them being caught off guard or unaware of being filmed and the infamous vlive Brasil convinced me that they got the hots for e/o. No one knows what the future holds or if they r even together anymore but i’ll always be convinced that they had something special going on. 💜💜

First of all where the hell is the fanservice?? We got absolutely no content from official Bighit..like no official subunit, photoshoot units or anything in 7 damn years. We trended taekook even when we didn't get any subunit, taekook trended for 11 hours with more than 1.7M tweets just because of a live so I think they know how much we want a Taekook unit, not to mention how amazing their voices sound together. If Bighit actually releases a Taekook unit song it'll fill up the stadiums, chart for months but for some reason they choose to ignore it. If you still think taekook is a fanservice then make it make sense to me

Being 29 and about to be married sure gives one perspective. From the very first interactions I've seen of Taehyung and Jeongguk it's been clear to me they're attracted to each other / in love. This is the *only* 'ship' in all KPOP I believe this about. Half of their interactions mirror the way my fiance and I act with one another. And I've been into KPOP since 2010 and have seen many a ship, so it's not like I don't have a frame of reference. I know Koreans are touchy, I know boyband members are close - I have 10 years worth of observations of all of that, and TaeKook is different from all of it by a landslide. It's just so odd to me sometimes how many people in the fandom are adamant "they're just friends!!". But then I get it. There are so many reasons why someone would dig their heels in and announce with absolute certainty two people are totes hetero and just buds i.e: - Homophobia (internalized or not) - Inexperience (sexual or romantic) - Denial due to personal attraction to either or both of the members - Desire to be 'objective' by aiming for the 'default' sexuality (hetero) or using the 'you don't know them' argument. or any mixture of the above, really. So no, you don't have to take my word for it - have your own opinions, gather your own observations, live your life as you see fit and then revisit things, etc. But my experience tells me these guys are in love. If that makes ARMYs uncomfortable, I'm sorry, it's not my intention, but perhaps some reflection is needed on why it would bug you so very much. This comment became an essay so this 'old' gal is going to end it here. Don't fight, people. Your idols wouldn't want you to do that.

I will admit I feel disappointed when BH uploads content after content without any significant TK moments. But then, this year we had the TK Vlive and selca, as well as Run BTS episodes where Tk were a team, or part of a team. There were other Run episodes where we had TK moments- Jk putting lipbalm or feeding Tae, Tae lying on JK's lap....Plus, I'll always thank BH for giving us the behind the scenes of Black Swan, which had one of my favorite TK moments of all time. I've realized long back that these BH contents will always be less in comparison to what TK themselves give us when they are not so supervised: in award shows, in other countries, sometimes at airports, sometimes even during BH programs when they are not the main focus of the camera. This is not to say that they interact all the time. They often do not. Taehyung especially seems more cautious sometimes, especially in Korea, preferring to look at Jk or share a laugh rather than reach out for a hug (the way, say, Jimin does so freely with all the members). Jk, I feel, is becoming more direct, for eg. even in the YT graduation performance, it was he who caught and pulled Tae to himself at the very end. It's interesting to see how their interactions have evolved over the years. To me, only on stage moments between TK has sometimes seemed like fan service, but that has perhaps reduced over the years. The moments we get now do not seem like fan service at all. They always seem so immersed in each other.

I ship taekook with all of my heart but I'm often disappointed in all of the analysis videos that I watch 'cause they're usually just over analyzing stuff and/or basing everything off fanservice. Even that one run episode. Why did they use that angle for that when there are cameras everywhere with better angles. Taekook is the most popular K-pop ship without a doubt. They are Korea's power couple, according to Google search. Usually in marketing, you tend to highlight your popular product, which in this case, is Taekook but they are not pushed at all. We definitely see other ships like Jikook (fan service to the max) or Vmin (soulmates forevermore) being pushed by BH because there is nothing romantic going on in either of these ships. Jimin has tried to put the kibosh on Jikook by stating firmly in this Festa profile that JK is his younger brother. Vmin is real because it is a friendship. Consider how much airtime that Vmin got in Bon Voyage 4. They were basically together a lot doing stuff like rolling in the snow together. There is a scene in episode 1 which I found to be quite telling. Tae was sitting on the sofa while Jk was sitting on the arm of the sofa. Near Tae but unable to touch him. Then, Jimin comes and plops himself on the sofa, between them and rests his head and some of his body on top of Tae. Of course, that was not cut. Yet, there is also a scene in episode 1 where RM is talking and JK is there. JK just suddenly turns and heads towards Tae's direction and of course, that was cut. We only saw subtle hints of Taekook in Bon Voyage 4 because while they are not actively pushed by BH, not everything can be hidden. Like when JK bought two headbands - one red and one black. He wore the red and Tae showed up wearing the black. Like when JK wanted to sleep in the same room with V to the point that he had already put his luggage in the room. Like when JK stayed at Tae's side for hours when he was sick on the couch. So we hardly ever see the real Taekook on official BH material and the only times we see them be themselves are on award shows like how they were at MAMA 2019. We all know about JK running his hands through Tae's hair and putting his arm around him but there is a less talked about moment and that happened on the award stage itself. They were collecting their umpteenth award for the night. JK is on the left and Tae is actually behind the members who are talking on behalf of the group. JK turns towards Tae and tells him to come to him. After a second or two, Tae turns and walks towards JK and stands by his side. Another subtle moment that is definitely not fan service.

Ship or not their voice matches up perfectly, why you ask? Well.. Remember in bang bang con the live when taehyung said that its hard to sing friends live since the notes are to high for him bcs of jimin voice are to high for him but he did it anyway, but jungkook voice is in the standards and commercial like voice and with taehyungs deep voice they can match up perfectly with out looking to different levels of note and talking about when "save me" when jk cant come since his sick taehyung covers jungkooks part and it actually matches with the back vocals, so the facts that if taehyung and jungkooks collab is like ariana and justins collab their voice matches perfectly 👌 like peanut butter and jam

I ship only taekook for a simple reason and that is that I compare some of their interactions (especially when they think they are not recorded or gestures they do unconsciously) with those I have with my partner.
