So, I am not an illustrator, I don’t draw, I am not an artist or any sort, but I DO appreciate illustration and art in every way, and I’ve been wanting to *start* chasing my passions more seriously. I’ve been following Peachctober since last year. Anyway, I gave myself the challenge to do peachtober this year 🫣 it is extremely intimidating for me, but I think it’s such a great excuse to let out this creative energy that I feel bubbling inside of me. It won’t be the best, but it is my beginning… at, almost 32 years of age!! 😳 I am so so so excited for this!! Newbie, like full newbie. My first sketchbook EVER in my life is literally 2 weeks old, only has 4 drawings in it. Haha let’s GOOOO! 🤘🏻✨

Gotta be honest here. I havent even watched the video but the fact that's 40 mins long makes me so happy. Has an economics student it can get so fucking hard sometimes. And just having this where I can just let my brain melt and look at beautiful art really helps! Thank you for making my day just a bit easier

I'm so annoyed and sad with myself! I've been following you from my personal account since 2020. I knew you do this drawing challenge every October but I always thought it was Inktober and you didn't have your own prompts. I wish I had seen this video sooner instead of waiting till I was free to bingewatch your videos. Because I've already started this years, first time on inktober and tbh the prompts aren't that easy or creative for me to draw but yours are and you've given some examples too which is helpful. You're like an art teacher to me hehehe. Hoping I remember you do peachtober and I can join in with it next year!

Australia has 'farm dams' which are kind of like ponds, it's basically man-made water storage but it can look very similar to a pond! So the difference is a pond is usually natural, while a dam is man-made :)

I'm going to participate for the time!!! I've been following your work since Tumblr and I have loved being a spectator each Peachtober! However I never participated because I am much more confident in my writing skills than my art skills. I think That trying to tie them both together with a short story each day and 10/15 paintings will be a happy medium for me to stretch myself and get over my stage fright. Thank you so much for always creating such safe and happy spaces for people to see and experience great art!!!! Can't wait to see what each day of Peahtober will bring!

I'm trying to grind some of them out right now and it's been a struggle with the prompts this year! 😅 I started out by looking at the definitions and the symbolism behind each prompt to see if I can pull from either one for inspiration.

Hi! I’m from South Africa, so I think we have a lot of country similarities, (kinda) haha but a dam and pond are different, a dam is a large body of water but it still moves, you have a dam wall (usually where water exits, and the other side of the dam you’ll have an entry point where water comes in, and it can feed into other dams for a water source for different parts of the country, and a pond has no moving water (like no entry and exit points). No idea why I felt the need to type this all out, but there ya go! 😂🩵

I'm following this challenge this year and using the prompts to write pieces of flash fiction! I'm about halfway through and all I can say is thank you for axing axolotl 😂that one would not have flowed very naturally for me haha.

It was a struggle for me last year, I had work during the week and it's a lot to do mostly on the weekends. But I pulled through. This year I chose a much smaller size, easier style and medium and started right when we got the prompt list in the beginning of the month. I brainstormed in my breaks and drew mostly on the weekends and sometimes after work. I just finished all last saturday. Now I just have to prep them and post them on Meta so they'll go live on their own in october. I just knew I didn't wanna struggle again in October day by day, week by week.

Of course! I downloaded max packs brushes but mainly use evolve, grain, monoline and 6b pencil which come with the app

I'm sooooo excited!! This will be my second year participating and I've been thinking about peachtober since July ahah Truly the the art highlight of the year. I have a million things happening all in october this year, but i'm adamant in doing every day because honestly, the community you created over the years with these challenges is so nice it feels like a waste to not try my best. I discovered a lot of great artists last year whose work i'm still happily keeping up with now and i saw a lot of amazing ideas and techniques. Thank you so much for creating this! I obviously love your work in itself and the themes you convey, but the care you put in these events and in fostering a loving community around your work really made me respect and admire you as person and an art role model! 🫰
