Crowden Clough is an exciting and adventurous way up onto the Kinder Plateau. It begins from Barber Booth and follows a well defined path along Crowden Brook but sticks to the edge of the brook all the way up to a series of easy scrambles alongside several beautiful waterfalls. Once on the plateau we summited Grindsbrook Knoll and descended south to the crash site of the Heyford Mk.III K6875.

👋 Wow, what a breathtaking adventure through Edale in the Peak District National Park! 😍 Despite the low clouds and some drizzle, you still managed to discover some amazing waterfalls, do some exciting scrambling, and explore the site of a historic plane crash. 🙌 Thanks for taking us along on this journey and sharing such a fascinating story with us! 🤗

Really enjoyed this video. Crowden Clough is one of my favourite routes up on to the Southern edge of Kinder. It’s a nice scramble and at the biggest waterfall you can go direct up the fall if it’s dry enough or take one of several routes to the left. I love the fact that there are so many Clough scramble routes onto Kinder. I haven’t done the Blackden Clough route yet so that is next on the list; and having seen a few videos on KZfaq of the Nether Red Brook Clough scramble, that looks like fun, with several different routes at the top! Another one to bag soon I hope! Shame you didn’t get the views, always the risk of clag up there but it was still a very enjoyable route and video 👍.

Thank you! I didnt know there were so many scrambles up Kinder so have a list of several I want to do this year! Blackden Clough looks great!

@@WalkingintheWildwithJoeJackson Yes, that’s what I thought after watching several KZfaq videos of it. Definitely harder than Fairbrook (which is a good descent route). There are several Clough that seemed to be unnamed. There is one East of Jacobs Ladder that looks incredibly steep and tricky. I did see someone on it once so I assume it is doable and I think it deserves some exploration soon!

It is really weird that this vlog dropped tonight. I'm heading up Grindslow Knoll tomorrow for my first ever time on Kinder Scout. Grindslow Knoll will be Ethel 94, and the 636m true summit will be Ethel 95 and the completion of my Ethel Challenge. Thank you so much for sharing, and I'm looking forward to following your footsteps but hopefully having better views.

Hope you completed your Ethel’s! I’d never heard of them. Only two walks and a climb up Pillar Rock to complete the Birketts so looking for a new challenge. I’ll check out the Ethel’s! Thanks!
