I love how the anime made it absolutly clear that Jinwoo winning against Igris was nothing but a FLUKE and he just got lucky that he got 1 opening and did the best he could with that

Yeah, and there is still some people complaining about it. To explain it better, I'll tell some important details that got left off and some people may ask about: Yes, Jinwoo was weak compared to Igris, but when he was on the throne, he used that opportunity from Igris last attack to hold his sword (with his recent armour), and then he used all his strength to throw Igris sword away, stab him in the eye with his ability "Fatal Strike" (which gives a critical hit in the enemy's weak spot) and pushed Igris against the wall, then he proceeded to stab him again multiple times in the eye and below the chin, where the armour has less protection, using ALMOST ALL of his mana with multiple abilities of "Fatal Strike" (cost 70 mana) + he used his passive ability of "Advanced Dagger Technique" which gives him 33% of all stats when using daggers, he got both of those abilities in episode 10 (last ep). And also Igris was holding back, it was explained on Igris side story in the Manhwa, and I dont think they will adapt it to anime so I will drop this info here. You can call that plot armour but I call that luck and right use of opportunity.

@Gb_te to me, in the manwha and on here, the system wants him to get stronger and Igris was a chivalrous knight.. I wish the fight was a little longer but it was epic.. my biggest hype was the title of episode 12 at the end.. "Arise"

In an RPG game, "Jobs" can be another name for class. Say Mage, Archer, Warrior, etc. If you notice all these Hunters have a base class or job, like magic casters (mages), healers, assassins (Agility based job) etc. This job change quest is to change our MC from basically an undefined job (Jinwoo has just been putting points where ever not knowing whats best) and after this he will be officially classified.

I havent read the Manhwa but i play many Rpg games. So a Job in Gaming terms means your class most are in RPG games for example Fighter, Knight, Healer, Thief, Assassin, Paladin, Mage, Priest etc. So they are mentioning that jinwoo will be getting a job next episode which further can give him job specific skills for example a Priest can use Purify or goddess blessing a fighter can use rage or willpower and knight is like a tank so he can use someting like aggro or shield a magician can use magic amplification or Telekinesis etc so Arise might be some type of a skill which he get from his job my guess is that he got a job where he can summon pets or creatures. i dont know if this is a spoiler or not but my guess is that he might have gotten some job like a Summoner , Beast tamer or a necromancer. If this is a spoiler i am sorry in advance.

if you play RPG games then you know like how you get the option to choose what you have to become whether you want to become a worrier, magician, or healer(priest). These are the jobs. after a certain level, you will get chance to select your 2nd job in which you can able to select different job.

So basically "job change" was naned differently in the novels...it was called "class change" which basically mean you get to add a class ...a title...like mage, assassin, healer, tank...he will be assigned that title and will be given power according to it.

simply put: hunter = awakened person with ANY level of superhuman power, regardless of type while a Jobchange is a reference to RPG's where you change from one Job/Class to another, typically from a lower tiered job to it's higher form. Knight becomes Paladin, Warrior becomes Berserker, Rogue becomes Assassin and so on. Usually those Jobchanges go along with a quest where you need to show some mastery over your current Job/Class.

It might be best to think of "Hunter" as a career, like "Adventurer" you see in other animes seeing as there is a guild system in this one too. "Job" would be more along the lines of something like "Knight" "Mage" "Archer" "Assassin" and what not using the enemies you seen in this episode as examples.

Theory: If Igris doesn't drop his guard and keep attacking he wasn't supposed to be lose that fight... Although Jin Woo already beaten Igris, his level wasn't enough to achieve the job level quest. That's why the system keeps sending the knights to boost his level to acquire the specific level he needs for the job change quest.

Think of an RPG where you have classes, like assassins, mages, warriors, archers...it s the same with hunters, atm JinWoo is like an assassin (daggers, phisical attacks, stealth) a job change would be a new class for him, could be a simple change or an evolution

Its going to get better,I read the Manhwa because the Episode were taking too long and I’m on Book 9 Volume and to be clear Episode 11 is basically close to the end of Book 3 so Episode 12 should finish it off and the next Season will be the start of Book 4 and it’ll possibly Book 4,5 & 6 and it the Story keeps getting interesting as he continues getting stronger

👉Here is a info that the fans miss or forget .....after finally defeating Igris the Blood Red Commander, Jin Woo is judged on his performance in his Job Change Quest that this entire dungeon was centered around, and even if something weird didn’t happen he would have gotten a good class, but because of an interesting circumstance where Jin Woo actually forgot to do his daily quests that day, he was actually sent to the Penalty Dungeon for a full 24 hours, where he was able to use items, refresh himself and even buy a few weapons that came in handy during the battle. The good thing is, this time that Jin Woo spent inside of the penalty dungeon also counted towards the time that he spent inside of the Job Change Quest, and given that he’s handed extra points and a better job for every minute he stayed inside, it’s no surprise that when it’s time for Sung Jin Woo to unlock his first job, he’s given the highest grade ......i wont say what class he choose 😅 wait for the next episode and the the legendary ARISE scene

@@shadowproductions969 alot of reactors dont know what this even implies. if u actually know the story, ull know this part hasnt been explain until next ep where it will be clear for all. it’s supposed to be a surprise. it wouldnt matter if it said ‘class change/category/affinity change’ cus thats already self explanatory. how would you feel if at the first episode you give a way why this show is called solo leveling? cus the mc alone can get stronger and clear dungeons himself.. it wont be a big deal to you cus as an anime enthusiast uve seen this sht before right?
