In this episode of Hawaii 100 Highest Peaks, "Peakbagging Oahu's West Side" me and my friends choose to hike a more difficult route while peak bagging three high peaks on the island of O'ahu: kea'au Middle peak, Ohikilolo peak and the not as well known "peak 2900".
This route has a lot of variety but our biggest challenge was hiking over the exposed, hot sections of the Waianae Mountains. This trek includes a lot of elevation gain, scrambling, hiking by the fence line and route finding.
The trek took about 8h, 10 miles long with 4700 feet of elevation gain.

Awesome! I was looking over at those ridges as I was climbing mount Ka’ala and wondering if those were climbable. Now I know! I’ve just stumbled upon your channel and I’m sad it took me so long to find because I’m an obsessive hiker here. The hike that got me hooked was Olomana, i do all 3 at least once a week, I want to do “Anamolo” soon, I haven’t yet seen a video of yours on it, but it’s just doing olomana backwards starting from the base of Ahiki.

Mahalo, I am glad my channel popped up and hope it helps for your future adventures! I did Anamolo couple times before, but never actually shot a video about it. Maybe that can be a good one to shoot. Thanks for the idea!

The views looks awesome and the weather was beautiful. How long did the hike take you? Is this an expert level hike, or just those not faint of heart?
