I’ve seen and worked with SO many people that claim this show is extremely boring. I really don’t know *how* you can think this dialogue & these characters are boring to watch, it’s so fucking good. The writing, acting, sets and costumes are all top notch.

Not that there's really bad acting in this show. But, this episode everyone is just fucking sending it. I don't think the actor who played Polly has ever done a scene where you don't feel every ounce of emotion she's giving it. I love this show.

Yes, the film which most likely used *Tommy's Factory Offices* in *Bradford,* is called *Six Triple Eight* and will be out in the next 6-12 months. They filmed on the streets at the front and the back as usual just like most productions, however they also filmed on practically every other street in the neighbourhood, all of which were decorated with things like gravel, sandbags, posters, washing lines, toys, furniture, blown up buses, and fake rubble. *Upgraded* (2024) has already used a lot of *Peaky Blinders* locations in *Bradford,* mainly in and around the main entrance hall of *Bradford City Hall,* however they didn't use *Tommy's Westminster Office* they used the room opposite, along with the small foyer area between the two rooms, one of which is the *Lord Mayor of Bradford's Office.* Some other productions which have filmed in *Bradford's Peaky Blinders* locations recently include: *Emmerdale* (1972-present), *All Creatures Great and Small* (2020-present), *Virdee* (2024), *Platform 7* (2023), *Bodies* (2023), *The Crown* (2016-2023), *The Railway Children Return* (2022), *Gentleman Jack* (2019-2022), *The Duke* (2020), *The English Game* (2020), *Downton Abbey* (2019), *Commando 3* (2019), *Official Secrets* (2019), *Victoria* (2016-2019), *The ABC Murders* (2018) etc.

5:20 I have always loved this scene, for Tommy and the BSA men's reactions show that yeah, they've been back from the War less than a year, and that the trauma is deeply rooted in every single person who's been in those fucking trenches. And yes, that is very much what WW1 grenades look like ! This is a style of grenade used by the German army, and their distinct shape led to them being called "potato mashers" by the Brits esp. So, yeah, every single one of the men in that scene, Tommy included, would have recognised that thing flying through the air in a split second, and the BSA men treated the "clear" call like the only thing it meant for four years, "get your ass away from the impact point because I am redirecting a live grenade back out of the trench if I can". They didn't pause to think the grenade had no place in the back alleys of Birmingham, didn't think it was anything else than a grenade. Their collective trauma saved them here, as did Tommy's. See a potato masher ? You grab that sucker and throw it as far away from you that you can, because if you don't it'll blow you to pieces.
@Loweene_Ancalimon2 ай бұрын
7:44 "I love how stoic he is" I believe part of it is innate, but I think a large part of Tommy's apparent distance from the world is just trauma. I can't remember in which season it is, but we hear Polly say that before the war, he laughed and danced.

If he killed him, most likely Churchill would have had the army, or a large force of soldiers sent in to find the guns. And let's just say, they would not be from that area. They would not care about the damage they did. Tommy is smarter than reaction... You know, beyond drawing his pistol and really wanting to do it

Being mad at Grace who is doing her job and has a chance to get Freddie right there. Is how it works…. Being a girls girl is irrelevant. It’s a national safety issue and it’s very smart of her to do that. But it’s sad cause we know the people she is spying on. Besides her doing it to our main characters she isn’t wrong to do that. Not debatable I think
