Here's how I make a snack I call Peanut Butter Cornflake Things. Let me know if you know the real name for these, they're real good.
Peanut Butter Cornflake Things
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 (18 oz.) jar of peanut butter
8 cups of cornflakes
Mix sugar and corn syrup together and bring to a boil. If you want these to be chewy, bring to a boil and remove from heat. If you want them crunchy, boil for 3 minutes. Add peanut butter and stir thoroughly. Add cornflakes, mix well, then pour into a pan. Press firmly, cut into squares and cool.

I've never seen this version but it is how I've seen peanut butter rice krispie treats made and then covered with melted chocolate. Absolutely amazing! I'll have to try it with corn flakes since I'm more apt to have those in the house than rice krispies. Either way, you can't go wrong with peanut butter!

I've not tried those but they look tasty. Makes me think of a chocolate oats candy (Not a jazzy name for it either.lol) I grew up eating. On the stove (med-high heat) melt together 1 stick of butter with 2 cups sugar, 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder and 1/2 cup milk stirring till boils and boil for one minute, remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup peanut butter, 1 teaspoon of vanilla and 4 cups quick oats, drop by big spoonfuls onto wax paper and place it fridge to set up then store in air tight container in fridge.

Looks yummy! My Mom made these when I was little for the holidays and I still make them at Christmas. Hers was called Peanut Butter Crunch Bars. The recipe was half of what your's calls for since it only makes an 8x8 square pan and they had melted chocolate chips on top. She would make Peanut Butter Balls with the same recipe as yours but it uses 6 cups of rice crispies instead of corn flakes and of course you form them into balls. Thanks for a trip down memory lane! Have a good night! :)

***** Everyone liked it but it's been so long I'm not sure if I remember how to make it. I use 4 eggs in my pecan pies to thicken them up so they're not so runny. Another favorite is honey cinnamon, I replace the cup of Karo syrup with honey and ad a touch of cinnamon. Then there's the honey maple where I use 1/2 cup of honey and a 1/2 cup of real maple syrup. I get about 50 pounds of pecans from my tree each time so I have to come up with ways to use them. I still have a freezer full and my tree is loaded again this year.
