People always credit McCready, and not to take anything away from him, rightfully so. But for me it's the whole band with Pearl Jam. Always. The band is... incredible and definitely one of a kind (i.e. longevity and variery of concert set lists, who's gonna compete?!).

"Lightening Bolt" is la femme fatale burning like peridot meteorite across the night sky. She is wild and free like the handsome mustang which roams the great western plain. Like a June bug you can trap her in a jar for everyone to see from afar. Her name is Sirène and she swims in the laughing sea. After sunset she serenades the sailors who pray to the red sunset sky. Far in the distance the albatross wings its way across the horizon for the verdict of tomorrow. He calls her with his ukelele and waits for one last kiss before dawn. She goes to the altar of the seaweed bed and wears her Manihiki black Pearl Jam necklace for that special magical musician sailor. He loves her and will never let her go.True love wins at long last.
