I’ve been a Pedego mechanic for about 3 years, the Avenue absolutely rips. One of the best e-bikes for the price for sure

Bought one in August 2022. Much lighter than most of the different ebikes I had tested for the past 2 years. Have extended battery and rear rack. Is a great bike for coastal community with hills.

I bought a city commuter platinum edition at my local shop they had in stock right there after giving it a test ride. A lot of people online complain that step through bike frames flex while riding. I personally haven't noticed any bending/flexing during my test ride. I liked the look of the classic frame step over version online but it would've taken about a month or so to arrive and it was bigger/had 28 inch wheels vs the 26 inch wheels my step through has. Their website said the bigger wheel classic frame version is suitable for people 5'10" and up and I'm only 5'7" so I decided to stick with the step through. I hope it'll be fine over the long haul. I'm currently 261lbs and it's advertised as 250lbs capacity but it rode just fine and the shop technician said he's had customers closer to 280 who ride theirs while wearing loaded backpacks with no problems so that made me feel a bit better although I'm on a mission to shed a few pounds for my overall health lol.

What kind of ranges are people getting on these?

I’m impressed with this new Pedego model, the available comfort and utility options mean it can be used as a relatively lightweight Class 2 recreational bike or built up to commuter spec. The throttle would be helpful to get going from a stop. I appreciate the hill test in this review showed in PAS 5 the 48v hub motor has the muscle to get a heavier rider up hill. I asked a Pedego dealer this week who told me the two grand price is introductory and it will likely increase later in 2023.

When I’m shopping for an ebike two of the things at the top of my list of priorities are: is it economical i.e. a good value, and is it light weight? The value proposition of this bike will vary from consumer to consumer but in a time when bikes like the Turbo Vado SL from Specialized and the Aventon Soltera exist, I can hardly call this bike lightweight

I don’t think the bike weight was mentioned in this review, unfortunately. I sure was curious. According to the Pedego website the classic bike is 44.6 lbs without a battery and the step-thru is 45 lbs without a battery. There are two battery options listed (I don’t know which goes with which bike) one is 6.4 lbs and the other is 7.8 lbs.

Pedago bikes are wayyyy over priced for what they offer. I guess you could take to their stores if anything breaks but for the price they offer, Fenders, front and rear tail light should be standard!

After 5 years i had to junk my city commuter. One word to describe Pedego is opaque. My last mental breakdown with them is for the second time needing repairs on my motor the dealer tells me he needs a special tool from the company to do the work and there were three people ahead of me. This kind of product control at the customers expense is totally absolutely BS. Never again Pedego

I wish Pedego could resolve the Pedal Assist not engaging issue on their 2022 bikes

Does anyone know if the 2023 Pedego bikes have the same pedal assist not kicking in issue the 2022 bikes have. Really hoping Pedego can fix this. They say they are working on it but its been several months with no fix.

I’m 5’3, and I’m interested in purchasing one of these bikes. Would this fit my height? I plan to test ride one soon

I tried ordering the new one but couldn't find the fenders, racks or anything other than the bike

Would the step thru frame be ok for someone who is 5'11"? I really don't love a stepover.

These don't even come close to the Aventon Level .2. The Mag Wheels look fire though

5 year warranty... WOW. So am I paying for the 5 years in the high price of the bike? Notice if you buy a cheaper model, you then have to purchase: fenders, seat , mag wheels...etc. Nice looking bikes but not for the minimum wage peoples.
