This week, The Doctors Bjorkman dive into all the details of the first 2 days of a baby's life and what special care they receive in the hospital to make sure they are healthy and to help prevent some potentially life-threatening diseases. They talk about all of the major milestones to expect to see from baby and all of the important steps that need to happen before baby can be discharged safely home. Also, be sure to stick around to the end of the video where they discuss some more controversial topics like Vitamin K injections, Hepatitis B vaccines, and antibiotic eye ointment.
**Weekly pregnancy updates on Wednesdays! We will be covering everything from TTC, infertility, prenatal care, labor and delivery, best baby gear, your baby's week by week development, postpartum concerns, and other pregnancy tips and tricks!

Thankyou so much for making these videos they are so informative. My hospital is no longer doing parenting or birth classes because of the pandemic and I was worried I wouldn’t get the info I needed. This has helped so much ❤️

Love this! No one talks about this at all during pregnancy at least none of my people have. This was Very informative and I had no idea about over half of these. I’m 34 weeks and have plans to be induced right at 39 weeks.

Thank you for making this very informative video! I always wondered what the evidence was behind these routine procedures. Doctors in my area are always in such a hurry they often forget about the "informed" part of informed consent. This video was very helpful, especially for a first time mom with pathological anxiety- Thanks again! ❤

Thank you for this video. Really helpful information. My 3rd and final baby arrived so quickly that I gave birth unassisted in the hospital parking garage. This resulted in my baby not receiving a medical evaluation until 10-15 mins postpartum. There was multiple concerns about my baby’s health but so far so good.

Thanks for explaining newborn screening. I think many prospective parents are unfamiliar with what is done and how it differs from preconception and prenatal genetic testing.

I'm 24 weeks along with our first little one! My husband and I are so excited! We're a wee bit older than some having kids, so it's been even more important in our hearts and minds to make sure we're prepared to know how to best take care of myself in pregnancy and also as we prepare for Little One to arrive in May! Thank you both for these videos. Just discovering your videos in the last 24 hours and am so grateful for this information!
