Ahead of the launch of The Mandalorian S3 on Disney+ on Wed 1 Mar, we chatted with the show's star Pedro Pascal about returning as Mando, and loving how much Grogu steals every scene that they're in together.
Pascal also relives the greatness of his recent SNL performance, and talks about how much he enjoys knowing that there is so much love out there in the world for him right now.

Pedro has such a wonderful, distinctive voice. That makes him something of a throwback to the days when you could recognize a star by their voice. Mazel Tov, Pedro. You rule.

I am a fan of old movies, and I agree I have many favorite actors from that time not so much by their good looks but by their wonderful voices. Any one of them could just read a line and you melt.

Love that this interview didn't center around the "daddy" stuff - he's such a talented, intelligent, and creative actor and person - I wish more interviews with him these days would focus on his career and interests instead of satisfying thirsts. He was so much more relaxed here than in a few interviews I've seen this week - great questions and fun - thanks so much!

I find it fun that Pedro's dialect shifts with everyone he speaks to. He skirts the line of going Irish a few times here.

the most humble man in Hollywood is Keannu Reeves . Pedro Pascal is not very humble , remember the drama about him show his face as Mando in the show, even though the character's religion dictates he never takes the helmet off, but Pedro wanted ppl to see HIS face . Keannu is too respectful and humble to have done something like that . Also I feel like Keannu loves ALL his fans , not just the ones who vote the way he likes...)

He's not that great at a Spanish accent, it always resorts into a Chilean sounding accent. Although, the accent in GoT wasn't too bad. We already had a real Spaniard play Zorro, his name was Antonio Banderas.

Thank you for this interview! Pedro Pascal comes across as a great human being, and an honest one. This is what comes across in his character portrayal of Din in spite of being behind an impassive metal helmet.

What I love about this interview is that u try to capture what pedro feels and thinks about the excitement over him. Like, I wonder what it would be like to be him during all this. And I love that u told him how much ppl love his SNL episode in a country where SNL doesnt air….that’s impact. It makes me sad that he says he doesn’t like himself (‘I dont like pedro pascal’) and idk how serious or not he meant it, but still makes me sad.

That is so sad that he feels so insecure inside, I used to feel that way but I worked hard learning to love myself (although, I still have my self loathing moments), I hope he finds that love within himself that he get from other people ❤️❤️. It's like James McAvoy when he said in an Interview that he doesn't like mirrors around the house because he didn't like the look of his face, that's so sad! It makes me think that there was bullying going on in these people's past. I think people believe if you are materially successful that you are automatically successful in all other areas in life, as soon as you get success, you never have self esteem issues or feel bad again. It doesn't work that way, inner success is just as important as outer success. I hope he find peace ☮️ with himself.

hes got adhd. adhd people are very hyper during childhood. they get told off alot for their behaviour and the rejection becomes part of your character. its called rejection dysphoria. now comes the other thing... adhd crosses with depression and autism. adhd is one of the worst illnesses one can have. you feel overwhelmed by the constant feeling of guilt, youre permanently stressed and feel depressed, but your mask comes on as soon as theres someone with you in the room. theres is no cure for adhd and from my own experience i can tell you, as much peace as you try to find in yourself, it will never work. maybe for a minute when you force yourself to remember. the only thing you can do as an adhd person is to be alone. that is healing for us and its what he does, too.

The same thing happens with Hugh Laurie and apparently he has impostor syndrome. He believes that he has had a successful career just because he was lucky. It will be something with certain actors and especially those whose success has come later than normal. They have had to try harder and when arrives it is more difficult for them to assimilate it.

So tired of people saying it wasn’t even Pedro in the suit. Yes, there were 2 stuntmen that did the fighting scenes and in numerous interviews Pedro has always given those 2 men major props, but Pedro most certainly was in the suit.

Its sad to know he's no longer in the suit and only provides the voice of Mando. Obviously with him being so busy and in demand thats understandable though. Better to have him still provide the voice than have someone else try mimic it.

the first question was a bit hilarious because Pedro is not in the suit most times so it's not even pedro in that scene lol, just his VO work. props to him answering like that was him in the suit though haha

He was on set. The other 2 guys did the fight scenes. Don’t make it sound like he was “barely” on set. He’s also given props to those 2 gentlemen in many interviews
