Hello Doc. I hope you'll notice this. I'm first time mom of a baby boy. My baby is only four days old but he hasn't peed for the past 24 hours. He doen't have fever. He peed and pooed twice a day during his first day.

Please let your pediatrician know about it. If baby is active and stable, he should be fine.

Boys can have pseudo menstruation too. What about haemorrhagic disease of the newborn, cause from vit k deficiency?

Formula-fed babies typically poop three to four times a day, but some go as long as three or four days without a bowel movement. As long as your baby's poops are soft and passed without a struggle, you don't have to be concerned. But call your pediatrician if your little one doesn't poop for more than five days.

Hi Doc How are you po? Question po. Nung 2weeks pa lang c baby 6days syang hindi nagpo.poop then stinimulate ko na po sya gamit ang thermometer,after that akala ko everyday na sya magpoop pero 7 dyas na po d pa rin sya nagpoop kaya stinimulate ko na naman sya. Tapos ngayon pang 3 days nya naman po d pa rin nagpo.poop.😞 ok lang po ang re tal stimulation??

Though the diaper may not be as wet as usual, as long as your baby is peeing every 3 to 4 hours, there is no cause for concern. If your baby who is in the lactational stage does not pee for more than half a day, it is a cause for concern. Your baby may be suffering from dehydration.

Hi doc! First time mom here, my baby is 12 days old today. I’ve noticed that yesterday he hasn’t poop yet and until today. he is formula fed. He’s tummy is not bloated and it is soft. Should I be worry? It’s the first time he hasn’t poop. Since birth. Thank you.

At this age, it can be normal for formula fed babies to poop every 1 to 2 days or so.

breastfed babies will sometimes go several days, or even a week without having a poo (this is more common in babies aged 6 weeks or older). You'll quickly get used to your baby's bowel movements, so you'll be able to tell what's normal for them.

Hi good morning my 1 year old is constipated and her anus openes wide .now she not letting the poop out .im using pedia.lax liquid now shes letting it out . But its only once she let it outon her own since i used the suppositories. And do she have to let out every day

Good day Dok...Ask ko lang po yung baby ko kasi 3 days lang po siya nag poop since pinanganak po siya...10Days old na po siya now per9 7 days napo siya di nag poop...Ok naman po yung pagdede niya malakas po siya dumidi,Nakakautot din po siya...Ang wino.Worry ko po isa 7 days na nga siya di nagp poop normal po ba yun?pure breastfeed po siya sken...Sana po mapansin..Thank DOk❤

How old is your baby? Have them checked by a doctor.

Is your baby exclusively breastfeeding? If so, it can be normal at 6 weeks not to poop everyday

Sounds normal to me. If you're noticing something different, have them checked by a doctor.

Good evening Dr I hope u notice me I'm worried to my baby hes 14 days old only he is bottle fed I think he had a diarrhea since days 2 he poop many times a day and it looks like jelly I don't know what to do where talk a doctor for this but she advice us to admit my child to hospital he had no sick at all and he's so very active everytime he feed a milk he poop like watery I want to know what should I do

@@nikitakekare2250 Hi, Your newborn should have a bowel movement at least once a day during the first month. If they don't, call your doctor, as the baby may not be eating enough. After that, a formula-fed infant should have one at least one a day, but breastfed infants can go several days or even a week without one.
