This is exactly what i wanted, i’ve been in a peekaboo style for over 2 years but i never had a coach or never even went to a boxing gym cause my country don’t have a lot of boxing clubs here, i just knew the basics such as the stance and defense placements and head movements, as to why i got motivated when i saw this video cause i could bob and weave with my hips without thinking about when to move my hips its second nature, idk why i haven’t watched a peekaboo video before but im glad i found this video cause the information in here is golden, such an underrated coach you really are the best even at your ways at teaching 🌹, ill learn how to master my movements more till i join a boxing gym i have around 2 months cause i have my finals coming, so ill try to find more peekaboo style fighters to watch and maybe learn in these 2 months till i feel like im ready for my first spar, thanks coach 💯

Thanks man. That’s why I did the channel so people can get some info on it. That’s good that you’re training on your own. But if you want to compete you will have to go to a gym. Good luck man

Great vid! And I have been wondering, I am southpaw. Should my rear foot rotate til its aiming forward or should i rotate it til its aiming inwards when im throwing a cross / a rear hook and thank you.

You pivot the rear foot to where the rear knee is pointing down. It all depends on your body structure. Everyone is different. Make sure you sit down in the punch or explode out of a crotch.

How does mike Tyson block body punches? Or does he just take it?

Keeping you elbows in tight and and crunching is how you block body punches.

You never go back in the peek a boo
@madhookersboxingmartialarts7 ай бұрын
Peek a boo is a pressure style but never say never in boxing. If you watch Tyson, Patterson and Torres fight there’s plenty of times they move back or go lateral. Watch Tyson’s fight against Mark Young and Steve Zouski. With fighters as tall or shorter then Mike he boxed in and out with lateral footwork.

Do you have any insight as to why this style is not used as much contemporarily?

It's the most effective style but requires the most amount of energy due to the style

Only a small amount of people know it. Also the main people who coach it is all the way out in Catskills NY
