Crazy is how REN’s music once you hear it you just want to introduce everyone else to it. Showed the wife Hi Ren and she was sharing it with co workers and friends. I just played Jenny’s/Schreech/Violets Tale for her the other day and at the end she was like “O damn”. His story telling is just so epic and how all 3 songs were not recorded at the same time/year

Ive been diving into Ren's YT and Insta and Spotify, as well as Sam's, Chinchilla's, Eden's, The Big Push, each of the other members of The Big Push, and also discovering random videos here and there by people who saw them on the street and misspell their names, but the gazillions of searches and comments are bringing them to the surface. His solo and collective works are in numbbers that you'd think he HAD been healthy and actively recording and touring all these years. And he finds amazing collaborators. Elsewhere someone said he isn't just talented, he is a talent magnet. Because it's not like Brighton is a big big city famous for its music scene and producing lots of names. It's not that far from London (especially by American standards, but still, it isn't London. It's a beach city with under 200k residents plus however many tourists in the summer.

Blind eyed live, followed by blind eyed angry car park attendant would be really cool to see you react to. Car park attendant it the best version but you really need to see another version first. My favourite Sam Tompkins is ‘Charlie’ live. Same car park I think. Sam has an amazing catalogue of songs too. He was only 16 when Ren found him busking, plugged him in and played guitar for him. 🐇🕳️🖤

The “murder” sample/line isn’t from the Police’s song “Walking on the Moon.” It’s a sample from Ini Kamoze’s “World A Music” off of his 6 track mini LP self-titled “Ini Kamoze” released on Island Records label in 1984. This is a classic sample appearing in many songs, where it’s mainly used as “murder”. However in the original Ini Kamoze says “merther”.
