A pick that's picked up a bit in korea is first item shurelya into dcap or stormsurge. Shurelya gives u EVERYTHING: mana regen, haste, ap, movement speed and an active to close the gap and cage people

I feel like deadman's plate would be better as a 4th item. hp, armor, and most importantly, a stupidly powerful movement speed buff that you don't need to waste with autoattacks.

if you are against AP champion that's painful, anathema's chains rush is pretty hilarious. build tear, rush chains, laugh while stacking. Swap chains to other champions in mid/late as needed. Profit.

For context in the state of the game and their always buff balance mindset, at ~20:45 had Leona not locketed you, and Zed had Ignite, you would have dropped to ~130 hp (level 9 Locket shield) and cooked to death, which is just fucking ridiculous given he's on TWO items, Hubris and Grudge, whilst you have 145 armour and the FH auto attack mitigation on top. Somehow there are two bigger issues; if any other mid doesn't build 145 armour into lethality items, they now do true damage to you. This was made EVEN WORSE in today's patch when they removed armour shards (case in point, you had 18 armour level 1). Furthermore - aside from maybe Vel'koz, Veigar is an exception to building the FH because he can have 600AP at 20 minutes with it (or do any damage at all), these stats are even more disgusting than the above because he just ignores item, damage and mitigation values and general principles of the core game. I get most are selective with uploads and won't publish a loss or poor performance, I just don't quite understand where his weaknesses are. In every Veigar video the player will complain how bad he is but you 1v9 here by removing the threat of physical damage and bypassing ability scaling damage thresholds with his passive. Both this and the Zed scenario have no place in the game

isn’t unsealed spellbook or glacial or even the odd time you’d be able to proc phase rush well worth it over 600 gold in a good game? I would say even stuff like dark harvest or even as far as grasp seem better than first strike. this is obviously in hindsight, not suggesting you should’ve taken this game, just looking to be informed!

I still think they should allow you to swap runes at the start of the match before you leave fountain. Because sometimes you forget to change em or sometimes like with the sylas and zed you don't know who you are up against. That being said they are removing armour and magic resist runes so at least that aspect isn't as much of a concern

I mean I played Veigar vs Zed. The Zed is stunned 100% of time. If youre standing still and not moving the E will stun him 100% of the time without fail. Zed can't w while he is ulting and even if he could he would miss out on 95% of the damage he would do. Veigar vs Zed is an extremely easy match up. You can also make the lane 10x easier by getting barrier instead of tp. @@kryngi4624

You have no recommendations for AP picks? So that stupid ass Rookern item that gives you Galio passive based on your health isn't a good pick? Just build that item and warmogs and then full AP. HP is always best if resists aren't cutting it. Literal HP > effective HP.

The fact that people have to build shit like this to play veigar is so sad. I never even liked the everfrost build. I loved playing ludens veigar where you get ludens deathcap and you deal like 1k with your W felt so good.
