This appears to be a universal thing, at one time you have such a huge squarel over something only for it to be a forgotten matter the very next day. It really seems to be unfair, how can that be forgotten so easily after all what has been said and why do the people involved in that play along like, where is the justice. Yet at one point you just realize it makes things easier that way and the acceptance that some of your views may even differ drastically from the view of people closest to you, only to turn into those people who just accept it and don‘t mention it anymore, ultimately becoming one of those people going along, repeating the seemingly never ending cycle.

That's not depression you're talking about. Depression is a term we use for something that affects you chronically, not temporary. It's not an emotion, it's a vague estimation that let's others know that you're dealing with a problem for which you have no yet found an answer to, which could be caused by mental issues(bullying, stress, medication, loneliness, etc), or by things such as lack of routine, future prospects, bad sleep, low amount of vital vitamins/minerals/hormones, etc. And each of those issue can be cause by myriad of other factors, as you can see it can get quite tricky to figure out what the right approach and cause & effect is. In such a case, should your day to day life be impacted by you feeling a lack of vigor/drive/emotions/meaning/etc, you would be described as a person who suffers from depression. Can't sleep that off as easily mate. @@MegamanZXOmega

When you feel bad about something, that just means you're human. If you feel like something is wrong or not okay/bad, no matter if it had been done to you or you have done something to someone else (usually it's a combination of both, right?). Try engaging with the thought. When you're alone and have nothing else that needs to be done, allow yourself some minutes to just feel the emotions and then ask yourself why you feel that way, what you can do about it, how the other party might/could feel about it, and remind yourself that it's okay to feel bad once in a while and that feeling bad is an emotion that tries to tell you something is wrong within your perception or life and that you will attempt to solve it peacefully by the next chance you get. If a thought looms over you for a whole day, there is probably a reason for it but that reason only you can understand. Also, don't let assholes gaslight you into thinking that you should feel bad for wanting to figure out a solution after a conflict, sometimes you meet those characters. People can't be hateful or angry towards others for prolonged periods of time when they show willingness to be empathetic and work on a solution that is beneficial for everybody; and if they do, then you know who to stay away from. Also remember that this is habitual, the longer you let negative thoughts just be within you without facing them, the more you teach yourself to just feel the negative thoughts without doing anything about them; on the other side the more you are willing to face and attempt to deal with them the more you will learn to not be bothered by them until you learn to sleep 'em off. @@tm4557
