Here's my fountain pen review of the #Pelikan M600 Glauco Cambon released in October/November of 2023. This is the first pen of a series that Pelikan has created, called the Art Collection Series. Let me know your thoughts on this pen down in the comments!

So fancy! Those colors when the light hits it - **chef's kiss**! And I love that it includes the history booklet, which sounds like a wonderful piece for any Pelikan collector. 😍😍😍

Yes, I loved everything that came with it. Very nicely packaged. It's definitely a collector's item XD More than I need for a regular writing pen, but tis special nonetheless! The colors are indeed, CHEF's KISS! ♥

It’s the little details that always enchant me with Pelikans. I don’t have this one, but the light that plays on that barrel…wow! Brilliant pen, enjoy it this time around! 🥰💕

Indeed! The play on light, the disappearance of the design when faced away from the light, so interesting and beautiful! Pelikans are quite amazing 🤩

I picked one of these up at the Baltimore pen show last weekend, and I think it’s possibly the loveliest pen I’ve seen!

Thanks to your reviews, I got one today at a very good deal. Its surprisingly hefty. My Pro Gear and Platinum 3776 feels so lighter. But its so so beautiful.

You're welcome, Nikki - also thank you for watching and your comment!! Yeah, it's quite hefty, even heavier than an M800 from having held them both together at one of my pen meets. I had thought this one would be about the same or lighter than an M800, but even the 800 feels lighter, so this is very surprising. So glad you got one at an amazing price.

Oh wow. I had the opportunity to get this pen but, like you, from pics only, I wasn't impressed. Now I wish I would have gotten it. Great review Lao!

Yeah I totally would have skipped on this! But the price at Appelboom was unbeatable for this! I’m so satisfied with its writing experience and how the light plays with the colors of this barrel! And the pen feeling luxurious totally justified the price for me lol!! It’s only about 60 dollars more than my black tortoiseshell so I’m satisfied!

Gunther Wagner is and was Pelikan, well not since the family sold the company long ago to a Malaysian consortium, who recently sold the company again.

Ohhh!! That makes sense, I thought it was Pelikan that just bought the art pieces during that time period. Lots of Pelikan history ! I know about it being sold recently and the changes they’ve made to new production of older models of Souverans - I'll need to read up more on why it all was sold and the reasons for the changes.

I love how you use the Lamy 2000 for nib width examples.....as you helped me get the Fine 😊 Use it every day, and to be fair cant put it down yet. Great review as usual ❤

@KenchanKrafts is it my imagination, or does the Lamy nib get better with use..? It's been a month and it seems to be smoother than the first use now....or is it just that I love it even more 🤔🤔🖊👍 Thanks again for your help with the nib decision 👍

Great pen :) I think I should try it before I buy it though. The M600 may be too small, I am an M1K liker. But that pattern looks very eye catching. Loved the vide :)

Yes, I know you love your M8xx and M1xxx! :) The M600 is still a tiny pen so for those who enjoy M1000, this is probably not the best pen for them to invest in. Thank you for watching, Shak! ♥

It's a few hundred bucks past my current maximum pen budget, but it's gorgeous! A lot of care and love went into making it.

It is indeed so expensive >< but definitely a lot of intricate details and care went into this pen and absolutely beautiful nib. Writes with the loveliest feedback and I'm quite used to small nibs like this, so I don't mind a smaller nib.

You're so right, this is one of those pens that it is just much prettier in person and you just have to trust that the bland pictures just cannot pick up on its real beauty! It's so gorgeous in person

Yeah, I think a lot of Pelikan lovers expect the quality of Pelikan barrels to have some translucency, so this pen was made after the new owners took over and stopped doing translucent barrels. But this definitely was a stance they took to make art to cover up the lack of ink windows xD and I think it's a nice way to innovate instead of only putting out non-translucent regular striped barrels.

@@KenchanKrafts I wasn’t expecting translucency but I thought it would have an ink window like the M815 metal stripe has. But I’m glad they’re trying something new in terms of barrel design.

I'm really interested in the added weight, but at that cost it's at m800 level.. is it worth it??

This is probably more for the m800 folks who wanted an m600 size with the weight of their m800. I’m sure they’d be happy to pay the same m800 price XD because they write pretty similar I assume. Except there’s the big issue with the nib being smaller…and some folks might ask, why should I pay more for a smaller nib? XD I need myself an m800!
