At an outdoor temperature of 0°C, the heater heats up the water around 2.5°C per hour. The exhaust gas temperature after the heat exchanger is about 100°C.

The box heat exchanger would have been better with 4 or 5 square tubes welded in vertically to allow the hot gasses up through the water jacket improving efficiency even further, the beauty is with your design you can pull it out easy and do those modifications anytime. Beautiful little unit nice work!

Thank you for your comment. I would have liked to have added a few pipes, but to increase the surface significantly I would need a few pipes and that would have blown my budget at the time. That's why I decided against it. But you're right, I can add some later, but I'm satisfied with the performance at the moment.
