Our daughters asked for a dog for years, now that they have grown and moved out my wife and I adopted a 5 year old white and tan PWC back in April..She is our new love!!!

I am a cattle/goat farmer and I would not use them for herding. They don't last to long here on the farms. Had 2 different neighbors try them and 2 of the 3 corgies died in the first year and the 3rd went missing trying to get a mamma and her calf out of the woods. They are bite size snacks.

My sisters corgi nipped me in the knee once, not super hard but that herding nature is strong

Sadly, the Queen let hers die out and did not replace them.

To be fair the Queen is over 90 years old now and raising more dogs in the household would be difficult for her not to mention a tripping hazard. That said she did adopt another corgi after a former staffer passed away.

@@mackjones8934 I read once that she also kept some pups that were a result of an "illicit liaison" between one of her corgis and one of Princess Margaret's dachshunds. Prince Phillip had been seen walking at least a couple of the "dorgis".

They are beautiful. But I must say its pronounced pembrook despite being spelt pembroke, only saying because I am welsh

Should i get a pembroke corgi or a cardigan? The pembrokes are born 9 hours away from me. But the owner is delivering it to my house when their old enough. And the cardigan is 30 mins away but we gotta go get it. But outta the breeds witch one should i get? Im 10 btw

ABBI J it depends If you want a corgi with a normal tail or a Really short tail. Pembroke Corgis have The Really short tails because One they are Puppies they have their tail docked But the Corgi Puppies have no Hurt or pain! If you want a corgi With a tail you Should get a Cardigan Corgi. Hope this helped u! :)

Got to watch their backs, though. I had a Cardi with a tail. And a tale. Ya.. They dock the tails in the olden days to save on taxes. So I like the tail. The queen likes the dock. Less money she has to pay. Ya.
