I keep feeling very with these videos. Of all the drapery videos I have watched now, this seems to be the best way to understandably break down the process for a beginner. There are channels out there with a lot more graphics and jokes and high production then these, and yet you are second to none. Your tips were very useful. I've always had a lot of trouble drawing clothes and such, and I usually just got lazy and left the folds out rather than labour for hours to produce something that wouldn't look all that good... But this tutorial helped me so much! I actually understand how to do this kind of thing now, and my artwork has already began to improve :D Your reply to Kazu Narayan was also very useful, the way that you have to draw things you see before you draw things you can't... I'm a writer and I already apply that to my writing, but for some reason, I never thought of it for drawing... Thank you so much!

Folds are the bane of my existence! I got anime lazy ^_^. Mr Dunn, you seem to have a plan before you draw, could you advise a person who does not have a "mind's eye"? In a previous video (I can't remember which one,) you said "especially for those who draw from imagination" and I couldn't relate, because I can't see anything in my head. My goal is to be able to draw anything I want that exists in this world, since I have no "imagination of my own" but with that said, I don't want to be looking at references all the time! Your tips with shape clusters for the trees were particularly helpful, but I don't know what I'd do for draping clothes or color for that matter. This may sound strange, but I would like to take this opportunity to ask an experienced artist for advice. Thank you once again for your amazing tutorials!

how do we determine the direction of fabric's curvature if we do it by imagine...? because i think when we don't know the direction we can't hatch it correctly.. Thanks Alphonso..

Say, Alphonso, how do pick the direction of the stroke? It obviously doesn't work random, is it along the construction lines? It's hard to choose when shading a cube because 2 sides are connected with the same edge and stroking along this edge will make 2 sides same direction and it doesn't look right. Or is it "just practice til you feel it" thing? =)

maybe you could do a video on "seeing trough the form", i.e. thinking of drapery as being striped to learn how to master contour drawing.
