Pendulum Squat vs Swing Squat???

What are the differences? Which is better? What is the best pendulum squat machine? If I could only choose one between a swing squat and a pendulum squat...it would be this #homegym #gymequipment #legday #squats #workout

What I think a lot of companies who are making Pendulums are missing is the counterbalance. I have no idea why more companies haven't utilized a counterbalance on their designs. I know Predator Strength and Fettle Fitness do but haven't seen any others who do. I believe the Fettle Fitness might be nearly identical to the Paramount, or so I've heard. Other than the Paramount hurting my damaged lower back, that thing was awesome. Absolutely fried my quads. If I had to rely on one machine to build quads it'd probably be that.

I have the Atlantis pendulum and the Fettle Fitness. I actually prefer the Fettle over the Atlantis that I paid over 4x more for. I have the Atlantis Pro version and Predator Strength on order. Excited to try both of those.

@@wcrowder88 wow! sounds like you have the dream gym. Does your Atlantis Pendulum have the adjustable foot plate? That's another feature I think all Pendulums should have. And while we're at it, all Pullovers should have a foot bar to get started and here's my biggest gripe; all Smith should have a docking mechanism for the bench so that it is aligned evenly every single time. Yeah...

Gonna try and make a Pendulum squat that attaches to the wall and use my wall mounted squat rack upright for a safety and mount for foot plate. Since I already have an upright mounted to the wall and bolted to the floor no need to buy a whole new machine for $2000. Thanks for giving the footplate angle. This is what I needed.

I've always wondered if there was a difference thanks for the video. I'm sure you already know but it might make it easier to use reverse bands on the swing squat, I saw an article on elitefts and they showed a pic where they were using one with reverse bands.

I guess I need to play with it more. I tried reverse bands but the latch hook kept getting snagged on the bands:(

How do I know what weight to put on the counter balance I just started using the paramount and it is killing my knees

Is it possible to attach a band from the safety catch ‘rings’ on the swing squat to act as a banded counter balance of sorts? And yeah I’m similarly perplex that even on the new Pendulum Pro Atlantis seems to have left out the adjustable counterweight the Predator has.

I tried it once they got bound up but I am going to play with it more and see if I can figure out a reverse band set up.

Maybe I just have dodgy knees but that pendulum machine ( had the same one) killed my knees. Does it irritate your knees at all. I also felt the starting position was too low. Would have been nice if it was higher.

Same. I have tried three brand. Randy Coyle Swing Squat invented in 1979 and revised several times is the one.

I bought the Predator Strength last year. It's a great machine and definitely comparable to the Paramount Total Leg regarding the counter weight and everything else, but with an adjustable foot plate. The Paramount machine might be a little more sturdy though. And the Predator machine is hard to get even here in Europe. The lead time is 6 month at least. Please keep up your great work 💪🙂
