This is not what a remix should be. It's literally too good for a remix. He should just put it up as something like Madeon - [title] (Pendulum - The Island Mashup), or just mention them in the description. A lot of DJ's are doing this, and it's ok. What I mean, is that the song is great without the vocals, but only the vocals match, so if we took that out, nobody would even think that it's Pendulum's song. Hell, nobody would even think it's a remix! As you said, he made it completely his own, and it's right like that.

A remix should be a remix, and this is a remix, the remix that really started his career by winning the remix competition it was entered in to. What this is not is a mash-up, as a mash-up contains elements from one or more songs. Basically what I'm saying is this is an incredible remix.

Shit son I discovered Madeon at the lowest point of my life and his tunes really helped me through it. It was such an amazing breather from all the angsty shit I was into and I haven't looked back. Now I listen to this and more soothing music like Antonio from the Guest soundtrack.

Crazy to think this was 6 years ago. Feels like a much more recent memory. It's interesting being roughly the same age as you. We were obviously living very different lives, but we had much of the same emotions, and a lot of the same uncertainties with where we wanted to go with our art. It's not the perfect timeline of my own life, but it's like the musical embodiment of a friend that would have grown up alongside me. I hope I get to meet you one day. I know it's a farfetched idea at the moment, but I hope our arts somehow lead us to cross paths. It would be interesting to sit and speak with someone that I seem to share so much with. I'm rambling now, but I got taken on a nostalgia trip just now. Think I'll stay for a while before I go back to work forging my own path.

To think of when he made this the type of music that was popular and his age plus that this is an actual remix that is completely different from the original not like other producers who put some over hyped synth and drop which makes it sound like any other song this remix is different and there’s so many sounds and tunes that to me this is a masterpiece a beautiful work of art and this is just me, but I think this is as good in equivalence to any painting Leonardo da Vinci painted.
