Whenever I see these houses and neighborhoods on your walks, I think of the Thanksgiving holidays in DC with friends and families inviting each other to DC and sometimes a resident of these houses in these neighborhoods inviting travelers and sometimes total strangers to their houses in DC for Thanksgiving amongst the cool autumn air of late November in DC amongst the still hanging fall foliage on some trees of DC in a mildly subtropical climate with a mystical colonial feel of the DC area and colonial style buildings all in one package. I think the traditional thanksgiving meal of Turkey, Stuffing Mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, etc.. goes good together with all that I describe here. Love this feel and vibe and what I think of here as well.

My place is three times the price. I bought it in 1989. I just pray that I can afford the real estate tax. However, the only place I could afford is the one bedroom condo that you mentioned in the bad area of DC. However, I would be afraid to go outside. DC is very beautiful with its architecture and trees. When you have time. Can you take us to a garden etc. a place with flowers and beauty. I really enjoyed the video today. You do a great job. I really look forward to your videos!!!!

Wow!! When I started at Georgetown (back in the Eisenhower days) I lived in the house next to Harriman's. It was a boarding house then and rented exclusively to women attending Georgetown. (There were no dorms for women on campus except for the nursing school; they didn't take non-nursing students.) Thanks for showing it. I understand that now it's been taken over and incorporated into the Harriman structure.

I think the Army dress uniforms are called pinks and greens now. I remember when they were switching over to them a few years ago. I think they look nicer than the dress greens from when I was in.

@@SilentEcho9194 The only change I would make is to the hat. I would have kept the hat style for this WW2 uniform style to reflect the one worn by Ike. I would allow the Hogan Heroes style that they currently wear (and our WW2 flyboys wore back in the day) as a special thing for only those who fly Army helicopters or planes.

You can get 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms , kitchen, living room, dining room, family room, big backyard, and much more , just for $500K . 4,000 sq ft There's a lot of new homes being built everyday here . You are close to a bike trail that goes for hundreds of miles , you are close to everything . It's quiet , clean and good neighborhoods . It all depends on what size of home you are looking for .

Yes Georgetown in the 80's and 90's was the place. Many many great memories of great times there. I remember the plastic bucket drummers on the bank parking lot. The badly badly burned street beggar further up the street. Many a 2am meal at the spy restaurant. And dating a lady who lived in the area who told me Roberta Flack used to live in the house. Very surprised its not still a go to place for partying.
