Cats is my grandmother's favorite musical, and I hated being the one to tell her that she should never EVER see this movie

If I had a dollar for whenever someone says: "Cats was trash/bad/garbage," I would have the budget to make the film a sequel.

Ok I actually liked the musical for this. This movie, however, was nothing like the musical. They changed almost all of the characters so that they're only used for comedy relief. The worst one was James Corden's character, Bustopher Jones. Bustopher Jones was a well respected cat in the Musical. He was viewed as a royal figure during the musical. This is because he was a well fed cat and very likely has owners who care for him The rest of the cats are stray cats. Yeah, they still made jokes about him being fat in the musical, but he's never ashamed or offended by it because being fat is a sign of prestige within that group. In the movie he is a clumsy idiot. He tries to be classy, but never gets there. He eats garbage, something only a stray cat would do, and overall is just used as comedic relief just because he's fat. And when a cat mentions his weight he gets offended by it. Sorry for the rant. I enjoyed the musical and this movie is nothing like the musical. I don't know why they ruined this character so badly along with the others.

When me and my friend saw Frozen 2 together, we saw two old ladies dressed up in full cat costume, like, facepaint and all, to see Cats. The fear she and I felt was UNMATCHED

This was the last movie I saw before the pandemic closed everything. I was very drunk and there were only 5 other people in the theater. We all dunked on the movie loudly. It was the greatest theater experience of my life. I went out on the highest of notes for my last movie to see in theaters.

This should have been an animated movie. Don’t understand why motion capture is seen as the hot new thing now. It just looks so odd in this movie. Imagine if this was a 2D or 3D animated movie. Would have made it at least watchable.

I fell asleep during this movie, and honest to god woke up in a cold sweat from a nightmare inspired by cats, it was like cats but everything is more contorted, their faces are starting to move weirdly, the ground shakes. That nightmare was significantly less terrifying than the Spanish dub that the theater was using, which sounds like they never learned how to speak in their life

So I guess on the moist meter it's dryer than the Arabian deserts.
