Bacon Axolotl i mean Anakin and Padme spent a whole week and a half together in person before getting married. This week and a half(roughly) had a 10 year gap between a few days and the rest of the time, and in that time, Padme made Anakin go to Geonosis, which is where he lost his arm, lightsaber, and almost his life, so in reality, it’s Padme’s fault he was amputated and all that, and still says “I love you” but never “oh shit I’m sorry m8”. Now I’m not saying this as a Reylo fan(I’m not one), I’m saying this as someone who loves Star Wars but loves fucking with these movies even more XD For example, Luke Skywalker killed millions of people that never did anything horrible like blow up Alderaan(I mean really! Like 15 people did that! Stormtroopers on the Death Star were probably new or somethin’) because his aunt and uncle were killed for harboring fugitives with military information It’s really just for shits and giggles, but it makes ya think

When my comfort character “died” in a manga I was reading, I told my therapist I felt stupid getting upset about it, and that I was embarrassed tearing up in her office over it. She kinda laughed and shook her head. “And.. I know and see many people who have had their favorite characters die in movies and things who have been much, much, MUCH more upset than you.” and I thought “Bullshit. Nobody is possibly more worked up about a fictional character dying than I am right now.” Shoutout to toxic Reylo fans for letting me know that, in the grand scheme of things, I’m actually pretty rational.

I’m a fanfic reader I read them regularly but something that has always been annoying to me is that people think that all fanfic readers and writers are weird obsessed maniacs that is delusional to reality. And these people that are making it worse just makes me mad because they give the whole fanfiction community a bad portrayal as this platform where people can show their obsession to other obsessed people and it’s just disappointing.

Sometimes, directors try something that doesnt land. The single movie I can think of that was deliberately made to be "bad" was Birdemic 2 The Resurrection and, if you haven't seen any of it, trust me you can absolutely tell.

I used to be a huge Star Wars manchild fanboy. I had my house decorated with Star Wars shit, all Disney approved merch and more. It all looked like some Chewbacca Church. Then I saw the Last Jedi. It was so bad that it woke me up. Suddenly Star Wars was just another movie. I was in some kind of a weird trance. Dangerous stuff. You might like something but don't get pulled into zealous following. It almost becomes like an addiction or a master that needs your constant service. Whenever I see those poor addicted fans I just want to hug them and tell them this story, so they don't waste their WHOLE LIFE because of pure fiction. Sending Love

You know, one of the very first things that my English literature professor told me right on the first day of my first semester was "These are characters, not people. They are literary devices, they are not alive. A character is ink on paper, it doesn't have thought processes or emotional states. Always keep that in mind when analysing anything. This is incredibly important." Back then I didn't really get it. Mostly I just didn't understand why she was so passionate about this, but I also believed that it was a bit of a generalisation. We were discussing Hamlet at the time and I thought "Well, that may not be the case for Shakespearean theatre, but surely there is some modern literature which allows for this kind analysis, right?" I understand now. It's not just that operating under the assumption that a literary character is a living being capable of independent action leads to intrinsically wrong interpretations though it does, but it will lead you, the reader, into a state of mental dissociation from reality which will turn you into a fucking crazy person.

The thing that confuses me about ppl this disconnected from reality is: what do they do when they see the actor who played a character they love in another film? Do they get relieved and say "Look Ben is alive now!" even though it's a different film? Even children can understand when they see for example Chris Evans in Fantastic Four, and then later in Captain America, and realize he's not actually those characters in reality. It's confusing and scary that these adults can't do the same.

I just wish that Rey had gone evil due to the re-evaluation of her life with the knowledge of her parents. Also that Kylo over the assumed death of his mom turned good to repay his debt to morality. Both becoming the most powerful and surprise force opposites instead of just weakly going back to the old ways of the force. The redemption arc of Kylo and the dive into the darkness of Rey. That would've been actual gold

I feel embarrassed whenever I say I’m a Star Wars fan. I have watched Star Wars since I was a literally a baby( my parents watched it all the time so I grew up with it) i struggled through elementary school being made fun of for it, I made it thru middle school. And finally in high school I made a friend who was a huge fan like me, but then the sequels came out, and for the first time in my life I was embarrassed calling myself a Star Wars fan. And ya know despite what Charlie says I do get emotional about these characters and heartbroken like when Ashoka left the order I cried and felt sad... on my own I didn’t attack people or quit my job yea I was sad about it but I never felt like it destroyed my life. Because I can differentiate between fiction and reality
