He has a false, made up pride. but our society is the reson behind this. the fault lines lie within humanity. people infiltrate others state, country, house for some made-up false doctrines like religion, nationality, Political ideologies. He is kind of antidote to that poison. @Aditya Kaushik This is an attempted copy of a few good men but unlike that movie where Jack Nicholson’s character was an arrogant unlikable ass KK menons character comes off as more tragic & sympathetic despite his crimes. In the Hollywood version Tom cruise goads & provokes the Colonel by attacking his pride & arrogance. In this version Rahul boses character provokes the brigadier by reminding him of his painful tragedy. You genuinely feel sorry for the brigadier when he says he hears his families screams every night. Brigadier Pratap is a fallen hero broken by tragedy & revenge while Colonel Jessup is an arrogant ass who looks down on civilians & non combatants whom he sees as soft. In the Hollywood movie Tom cruise looks righteous & smart for goading the colonel into confessing. Rahul boses character looks like an asshole for reviving the brigadiers painful tragedy to provoke him.

With the kind of practice session and hard work keanu reeves have put for a action movie , i dont think its fare comparing it to a stage actor (accomplished) like KK Menon . Again he portrays this role really gracefully as adaptation of few good men . To size up to character loosely based on Jack Nicolson he has done really great in making a separate entity of its own. But a pound for pound comparison A unhinged killer with no sense of moral code , right or wrong whose only motivation is to survive by his skillset , please your assessment is far fetched from pure statistics .

It is strange thing in this movie. Movie maker trying to show his agenda. But k. k. Menon has changed movie perspective through his marvelous acting. Story, dialogue are according to maker but how Menon deliver the dialogue after that everyone is looking through the Menon perception. Hats off to Menon.

Among my all time favourite actors, KK Menon will always be there in the list. This scene clip, shows his class, especially the dialogues, the aura, the pride, a respected Army Officer carries with himself, all moments are amazing, but from 6:28, is class apart.
