Possible method: 3:13 After Teller knows the final card selection, his right hand makes a deck switch under the table (maybe somebody hiding under the table hands it to him, or it's taken from a library of 52 decks). Penn taking an undue amount of time to circle the selection with the pen serves as a distraction and allows enough time for the deck switch to occur. The cards in the new deck are all the six of spades, except for the top twelve cards (the bottom two cards of each eight-card pile that he deals) and the last four cards (which Teller discards face up when finished dealing). We briefly catch a glimpse of several of the six of spades being dealt onto the first pile at 3:28, 3:36 and 3:40. And likewise, a number of the cards he deals between 3:48 and 3:52. When he turns the chosen pile over, he exposes the bottom two cards as two other possibilities that she may have ended up with instead (in this case, the four of diamonds and the eight of hearts).

@@DamonWakefield At 3:09, Teller lifts the deck he's holding and the bottom card appears to be the 6 of spades. I'm guessing they had 52 prepared piles of the same card under the table and Teller switched out the original deck with one loaded with 36 6 of spades to deal out into the piles. It didn't matter which pile and which card she chose, they were all the 6 of spades.

@callard7603 ай бұрын
@@Flamelord1302the 6 piles have more than 6 cards each, but she must pick between one and six. Teller deals eight cards into each pile. Since only one of the top six cards can be chosen, the bottom two cards are random ones. Teller is very careful to show us only the bottom two cards in each pile and we never see the others because they're all the 6 of spades.

when Teller puts the cards down, you can see that all 6 of spades. e.g. in 3:01 or 3:28. the fact that he already had the stack in his hand before she chose is probably because the probability that she would take this card was the highest. @gifgoldblum79403 ай бұрын
What? No, all Teller had to do was put the cards on the bottom of the deck as they were selected. He then waited for Sierra to choose one of the four, and dealt that card from the bottom to the required position. From here it's a guess, but I'd say they have multiple ways of landing on the card in that position depending on the two numbers given. Also Penn making a point to keep an eye on Teller as he slid the pile over was sus.
