Huge difference up front when Newton is on the field compared to when he's off

I know one of the booth guys called out Olu in the first half but even though this wasn’t his best game I don’t see anything that’s really of any long term concern. You still saw the elite core strength and balance with the ability to anchor against power. You still saw the elite body control and redirect when he does get into a bad position. You still saw the very good movement skills in the run game and against speed rushes. A couple times he was a little overzealous in expecting and setting up for the speed rush and got beat inside. And then his feet were kind of in an awkward position and he wasn’t able to get good leverage when Newton blew up that double team towards the end. So it wasn’t perfect - a little sloppy. He’s gotta clean up some of that overzealousness in setting up for the speed rush and kind of recognizing that hesitation move more quickly because guys are definitely gonna try that again on him after seeing it here. And I still wanna see more of a killer instinct in terms of really getting after it and finishing, especially in the run game. But I said it last year and I’ll say it again: this is the one you want. He has all the makings a truly elite left tackle.
