You can buy 20 shots of espresso at any coffee shop. It is your responsibility to know what goes into your body, especially when it's been advertised, and all over the news about those with heart issues, even unknown heart issues being advised to avoid these things. Same goes for all sorts of amusement park rides. They warn you about the risks. Many ride in spite of these warnings.

They are saying that the people in these lawsuits had previous conditions. I don't understand why they are suing. FDA says that 400mg of caffeine a day is safe for healthy people, Panera makes the drink content available- if you know you have a condition STOP DRINKING SO MUCH CAFFEINE. People wouldn't sue coffee shops for this, this is so dumb.

As a subscriber for their drinks, I go there all the time. Panera was very clear the beverages were caffeinated and visibly displayed the amount of caffeine in each of their chargers based on size.

Keep in mind that a ton of chemicals that are allowed in US food are completely banned for food in the EU. While caffeine is not one of them, there are limits in place. Processed US food could literally be considered chemical waste elsewhere, and sarcastically, you could wonder if it's simply cheaper for US firms to dispose of chemical waste through their customers than by despositing it properly... Think about it while comparing the ingredients of US food or beverages that are sold under the same name in the US and the EU. A Fanta is not a Fanta, Oreos are not Oreos, and even Coke is not Coke. The difference is simple. In the US, basically, a manufacturer can put substances into food until somebody can prove they are unsafe. In Europe, the manufacturer has to prove that it's safe BEFORE poisoning their customers. Isn't it funny that US manufacturers are WELL ABLE to use safe ingredients and still make a profit in the EU while selling poison under the same brand name in the US? US customers should finally start fight back against companies buying legislative that favors them over their customers...

They filed a lawsuit, but in the picture, Panera clearly labeled the caffeine contents (as they always have). You can see the nutrition facts everywhere. I used to order these and drink a small amount in the morning and evening. The sip club was much cheaper than $5+ to get the SAME amount of CAFFEINE from a COFFEE SHOP. It's MY responsibility to watch MY CAFFEINE intake. You can do plenty of things to water it down, like mixing it with bubbly (sparkling water) from the soda machines. It's annoying when people do whatever they want and make it everyone else's problem when it goes south. Hopefully, people will learn to be responsible for their own decisions. Don't be the careless guy who ruins it for others.

The lemonade (refreshers) drinks at Starbucks have caffeine and its not labeled. I asked and they told me they have as much caffeine as a soda, I was shocked. When did lemonade come with unmarked caffeine?

I have high blood pressure and hyper tension so if a drink has a dangerous amount of caffeine in it I'm not going to drink it it's just common sense. I don't even like coffee.

Off course, lve NO history of heart problems, seizures. I dont drink all those energy drinks like all these teenagers and young adults drinks these days!? People with Heart Hist., Neurological conditions, Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, or DIABETES! Or simple, food allergy to peanuts or others!? I stop go Panera, when they have the 12 dollar, free drink every 4 hour. I ask for large cup. Woman refuse to give it to me, cuz I get free drink. And yet. They'll hold up the opening time on the weekend, cuz they have all this free stuff to give to soup kitchen. They go out of their way feed someone, who poor. If you look like you can afford it, they think you obligate buy big breakfast, if they give you free drink. If you buy something every 2 or 3 day, and sit with drink and use wifi, they make it clear. They no want your business.
