They are unparalleled at mashing two or more songs together. This is a mash of Christmastime from the animated TV special A Charlie Brown Christmas and Pure Imagination from the movie Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. And it really is Mitch's real voice! Loved the reaction. 😆

Mary did you know was released 2014... this is off the newest album released 10/23... so they've matured, as have their voices.

This was what's called a "mashup" where Pentatonix combined two different songs - Pure Imagination from the movie Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Christmas Time Is Here from the Charlie Brown Christmas cartoon. It's not as simple as just singing two songs, they combine them... like in this one, when Mitch and Kirstie were singing lyrics from Christmas Time Is Here, the background melody was from Pure Imagination and at the end, Scott was singing the latter while Mitch was singing the former.

Great reaction! I heard someone say, "My favorite PTX is the last one I heard" and that's true! For another Christmas song the PTX O Holy Night is super. And be sure to watch Kiss By A Rose.

Pentatonix just dropped a live version of this mashup recorded at VEVO Studios, like their Kiss From a Rose video - both of them are flat out amazing!

By all means, as many have recommended, react to "O Holy Night." And for a complete change of pace, check out "O Come all Ye Faithful" which was performed with the group's original bass singer, Avi Kaplan. This is another Christmas classic, usually sung in a very "high church" way, but PTX does such a joyful rendition, you'll never want to hear it sung any other way.
