The one guy did perfectly for years, there was never a need for a second. Without Ari we didn't get a replacement baritone, we got a second (and secondary) beatboxer. Band would not suffer a lick without him. With Ari out of the picture the band went from a solid, well rounded musical group from baritone to soprano to... a high tenor to soprano with *no* bass.

People saying that don't doubt his abilities, they just want to find reasons to not like him because that's just what happens with new members or any establish group. It would be the same if Matt was the original member and Avi is the one who came later. People don't care about what Avi wanted out if his own life, they just care about what they want.

VAwitch I get what you’re saying but I imagine it’s down to preference. I also prefer Avi’s solo tone, but I find it very hard to compare his with Matt. Matt’s is definitely more pop-centric and arguably better for more modern songs, whereas Avi’s is richer and better suited to ballads and country music.

anotida chitando Don’t worry about it lol, I couldn’t agree more about how incredible Avi is. He was always and still is my favourite member of PTX. I just felt like mentioning how well Matt’s doing as a mid-range bass, especially with the very mainstream pop sound Pentatonix is going for nowadays.

@@Tom-se1em I don't think Matt's singing voice is as strong as Avi's. Like I said, bass-line wise, I'm cool with it. It's the singing. But maybe time will tell, like how Kirstin has a little less range but her voice is stronger post Kinky Boots & less pitchy when she does go into her upper range.

It's from 1975, and has not really got any extra features, unless you count water pipe grounding (and air conditioning, which is *standard* in Nebraska). It doesn't even have a power outlet for our garage door opener! We have to do the ghetto solution of using an extension cord. It *definitely* doesn't have a fireplace.

leothefox first of all, I’m a girl. Second of all, I can have my own opinion. Yes, Scott is very cute, but in my opinion, Kevin was the star of this video. He just looked like he was having the time of his life and I find that adorable. Good day!!

If he comes back it's his choice, just like leaving was. But it left the band with *NO* bass... just another beatbox kid they didn't (don't) need. What they NEED is a baritone replacement for Ari (Avi... whomever) who can carry the group's low end. Now it's just a tenor barbershop quartet with a couple of sopranos and not a lick of bass to round them out.

Amzar Nacht Matt Sallee is the bass singer for Pentatonix. 4 years as the bass singer for the premiere a cappella group Pitch Slapped at Berkeley School of music and a tour as the bass singer with the professional a cappella group The House Jacks pretty much confirms his qualifications.

Mitch's outfit is so fantastic That's what means to me love the way Kirstin plays her hair around and how it swings with the beats and joy of the song ,loves Scott's energy and zest and Kevin, he sounds better than jingle bells while Matt is just so amazing. Long live pentatonix !!!
