3 жыл бұрынPenticton is a city in the Okanagan Valley of the Southern Interior of British Columbia, Canada, situated between Okanagan and Skaha lakes. The name Penticton is derived from a word in the Okanagan language. It is conventionally translated as "a place to stay forever" but is actually a reference to the year-round flow of Okanagan Lake through Penticton where it enters Skaha Lake.

I fell in love with Penticton while staying there two years ago for a short while at an airbnb in the summer. It reminded me of my small(er) hometown in Ontario and if I were to choose anywhere in BC for a summer stay it would be Penticton. The desert climate is great, the city is both small and large at the same time without being too much of either, and both Kamloops and Kelowna are fairly close by. Maybe best of all, Vancouver is basically just 5 hours away.

I lived there for many years I first arrived around 1970 8 or 1979 and stayed until 19 87 I rented the time was $180 a month my pay was about $180 a week
