My Singing Monsters is a 2012 video game franchise developed by Big Blue Bubble and published by Canada Media Fund. The first game of the series was released on September 4, 2012 for Apple iOS. Ports of the game for other operating systems were later released, including versions for Android, Amazon Kindle Fire, Barnes & Noble Nook, and Steam. The game was also released on the PlayStation Vita portable console. Since its release, My Singing Monsters has grown into a multimedia franchise, with a prequel, several spin-off games, books, live events and series, and a board game. On May 12, 2021, Big Blue Bubble announced that the series would be releasing its first console title, My Singing Monsters: Playground, on November 9, 2021.

I like how it uses its body as some sort of projector. Also how it tries its best to avoid stepping on the shadow, and struggles to keep said shadow under the projector, with it seemingly coming out at its own accord to startle Pentumbra back into action.

I love that Pentumbra mimics everything it hears, in the 1st track, if u hear well u can hear a little of Vhenshun, then at the final moment of the 2nd track mimics Yoreek, and the 3rd track mimics auglur This monster is fire tbh

its cute the idea the shadow is able to hear outside the workshop, but this all makes me hope theres gonna be some island for all the ethereals to be in (as painful as making another lineup of workshop ethereals for it would be) like magicals got sanctum and nexus so I am hopeful because blue bubble is pretty epic I think

A vocal monster mimicking a percussionist, and the rep for an element that it isn’t the quad for no less, is an interesting twist on expectations. And I love the way it distorts in a creepy way at the end to remind you that this is the embodiment of shadow.

Guys, I have a theory. What if developers make monsters based on their “functions”? Monsters can sleep - they made a cherruble. Do monsters cast shadows? They made it. The following monsters will grow and shrink (gigantism), another one... teleports? I calm my sick fantasy, everything is fine

I like how Pentumbra has Geeode's sound in both their 1st and 3rd track and that their voice slowly starts mimicking Yooreek in the 2nd track. It may a stretch but what if Pentumbra was also mimicking some sort of colossal sound in all 3 of it's tracks 🤔

Its name probably comes from the Latin word "umbra" meaning "shadow". That's my guess, I mean, it makes the most sense.

while its dessign isnt great, its sound more than makes up for it, funily enough, on the contrary you have a monster whose dessign is verry good yet sounds mediocre
