I do hope that the console boxes don't die out. While something like stream from any smart device could be handy, the question is, will those devices be able to keep up with the horsepower needed? I don't have the best phone, or the best smart TV, and I can't afford the $1000+ per year needed to get the newest model. $500 every 8-10 years for a console is much more realistic for someone like me.

yeah I think the idea is that phones and TV would only be cloud streaming, so their horesepower is less relevant - the kicker stable internet and high speeds!
