The biggest concern I have is if folks like us don't the other side will. I don't know about where you're at, but in the States anytime someone says they are in the Klan or a neo-Nazi, every TV camera in the local area ends up in their face, no matter how much of a complete buffoon they are. When SHARP came out, that sensationalist BS is what they were fighting mostly. I think that in the end everyone in the video pretty much got frustrated and moved on. Happily, that also included the Nazi.

But in the case of their older songs I wonder if that would be them following the trends or just being a natural part of the scene. When punk evolved into thrash, a lot of what made up that first NYHC scene, including AF, melded the two genres to begin with. DRI was famous for that. "Something's..." I might have to agree with you about, but I can think of a few Hatebreed songs that sound like AF

Not sure if anyone realizes how brave the anti-racist skinheads and members of the hardcore bands who spoke out on the show were. They spoke to their beliefs and faced the consequences when members of the white power movement came after them at shows and on the street. I remember when Amy stepped in to help a friend who was being harassed by fascist skins. She fought the good fight despite getting repeatedly kicked in the face. Even after that she never backed down. None of them did.
