I have met a couple of very wealthy people. They had no clue whatsoever about real life is like for most people. They simply didn’t understand that not everyone has access to multiple thousands of dollars at any time.

I live in the path of hurricanes. One time in class (university) we were talking about the safety of the homeless and this woman, full adult says "poor people don't exist". It was so bad the class clown got serious: "What are you even saying!!!!" "I've never seen a poor person, all I see is lazy people doing nothing." The weird thing is that she rarely talked in class and when she does it's that gem. ----------------------------------- Another class, another girl: "I love it when we get hurricanes, I can spend the whole day sleeping!". Speaking of 'lazy'.

Tires - Air isn't the only thing that can be used to fill car tires. My friend's tires are filled with Nitrogen. They stay inflated longer, which helps grip the road better, and also causes less wear on the tires, and the car as a whole (AKA alinement etc) No idea what it costs, but I'm willing to bet that's what the Mercedes lady meant.

Probably because we're all girls around the same age. Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against the singer. It's just not my style of music, so of course I'm not spending $300. But she was acting like $300 was no big deal and couldn't understand why the rest of us wouldn't go. The funny thing was that concert got cancelled.

for the mercedes one , the girl only needed to remove the tire and replace it , but she misunderstood that she could simply replace it with any good tire cause with any repairs other than tires , for a mercedes you have to get an original part , which is super expensive to get cause you can only replace it with an original and the repair is done in a way different than normal cars , hence you need proper professionals to handle , but those cars are the generational types so they have a longer life in general and last generations.

My best friend's parents are kinda loaded. (However, I need to point out that my friend is very humble and down to earth.) When I first came over to their newly built house, my jaw almost literally hit the floor. Huge house, with a jacuzzi, grunge-style bar filled to the brim with an enormous assortment of booze in the big basement, home theater, several expensive cars, boat, a smaller "cottage" by the sea down the road, and my favorite: a disco-glittery bathroom with a red and black theme and a crystal light fixture in the ceiling (who has that in a bathroom?!). I always feel like an intruder whenever I visit 😅
