My biggest decision in life is moving from the Uk to Canada after Spending 3years on a miserable a Sponsorships. I moved to Canada with my family and in 3month I got my PR. Make that move it’s not too late. Canada is also not easy but 100% better than the UK. My 2cents

Tochi, I've lost 3 years of my adult life working as a nurse in UK,my worst decision ever. The grass is not always greener elsewhere. I learnt that the hard way. It's like I'm on another planet. This lifestyle is not normal for me. It's only normal to those with their families here or those who were living in poverty wherever they come from & to those who have nowhere else to go. I can't even save money for flight tickets to go back home.

Well I am here with my family. Been here for the past 9 months and it’s the best decision we ever made. We are happy. Making so much money and bettering our lives, faster than we did in the past 10years

This is my experience too, I can't thank God enough for making me and my family to come to the UK when we did. I'm blessed and happy here to be honest because I know how stressful life was for me in naija. People will always talk based on their experiences. I think the most important thing is to know God and allow Him to lead you because He will always lead His children to the right path

I've always said that "you only experience what you can imagine". As for me, I don't see misery. The pressure might be high, and the society unfriendly sometimes but you need to live above all that. My advice for people is, strategize around work to make the pressure less. If you have a family, hold yourselves very tightly and always create fun for one another within the home. Live within your means so you don't have to work too much and don't run to start building a mansion back home when you can't afford it. Be intentional about overlooking all the negatives and you'll be fine. For singles, get a friend you can always talk to.

UK can only be fun to live in if you have a 8 to 5pm job, Mon to Friday , family and friends with the same kind of jobs 😂. When I was a student i enjoyed myself. Things changed when i started working. Depression, severe ulcers, loneliness set in. I packed my bags and came back home.

💯 you are very correct. It's not always smooth everywhere. It depends on how you handle your daily activities. As for me I don't go with statements of uk being the 2nd most miserable country in the world.

I’m British dude and I totally agree with you, most of us are miserable idiots. It’s because we were once an empire that many have inherited a superiority complex based on past success which doesn’t apply today. So they think they are entitled to all the blessings in the world, yet don’t want to put the hard work into making them possible. And on the political level,the wealth is badly mismanaged

In 2003, there was nothing a friend of mine didn't do to convince my family to relocate to the UK along with hers but we refused. I had already been to London before then and I understood the crazy kind of life people were living there and I knew I could not cope with it. My advice to you is .... plan in such a way that as soon as you can afford to, you leave there.

Well, people would talk base on their opinions and experiences. Myself for example, I live Scotland northern part and we dnt even have 1percent of African people, no African church no African food, it’s kind of boring to me and my family. I just go to work and back home, recently am looking to migrate to the city, travel home and abroad.

Really in the uk we work and sacrifice alot to pay the bills and survive. Africans want a holiday without paying. Alot of people aren't happy cause of the newcomers. Apart from that we are happy

We are politically homeless. Ruled by consecutive governments which represent nobody but themselves and their interests. We worry about what's around the next corner, how political changes affect our ability to feed our families and keep them secure. Our laws have become vague and open to misinterpretation which strips us of our legal protections. In essence we are constanly told things will be like this or like that whether we like it or not and there is nothing we can do about it. This is no way to live. It makes people miserable because they live in fear. Fear of a state that will walk all over them given half a chance. For example, the banks will happily reposess somebody's home, some of which are worth upwards of half a million simply because somebody owed £200 council tax from 10 years ago. This how gansters conduct their business. Our police are quite to happy to use brute force and pretend our legal protections don't exist. Writs for example are not presented. Instead we have ipads with PDFs pretending to be warrants without signatures or identification of the issuing authority. The police of course will happily accept these as evidence that claims from the banks are valid. Instead of being 'keepers of the peace' and playing an impartial role, they act as bailiffs. Outside of their oath of office. Work all of your life to buy a house only to have it taken (stolen) for a disputed council tax bill of £200. What a lovely and fair country we live in. God help the next gen. There will be nothing left for them but final demands issued by quesationable people.

@@cultfiction3865 I left home after finishing secondary school. I came to study here in the UK without any family around. I, unfortunately, lost my visa status, which caused my career to suffer, but I was able to regain my visa status afterwards. I then got married and had children. It was a challenging journey to go through all these phases alone; the UK is a place for the strong and resilient.

Make money, plan your future, invest, go and be chilling. You will know that UK is the best place to live. Let the people who didn't get visa be deceiving you. Some people are afraid to speak English to Oyinbo. Make friends with them, some of them are nice, they will show the way. The laws are cautioning those guys running after 16 years old girls, then they are campaigning their loneliness for being miserable. If we do proper survey, you will be surprised the number of people in Nigeria who are sad is quite huge. Yesterday, I was in the club, Friday again we go jaye jaye.
