Bolivians of African descent still find themselves living on the sidelines of society.
The United Nations has designated 2011 as the International Year of People of African Descent. The year aims at strengthening the integration of people of African descent into all aspects of society.

He could be an implant used to persuade the indigenous into believing they are african. Same reason they brought in that woman from India. Smells like another conspiracy, similar to what they did in the U.S. to convince the blacks they were Africans when they are not!

It's interesting how little information is given to lead people in a direction. Colonization happened in more than US, natives of Bolivia were enslaved too. Greed of the colonizers brought Africans for more slaves to work in mines. Present day, many Bolivians are oppressed but yes, Afro-bolivians are the minority. I'm Bolivian in the US tho, I really felt hopeful with Evo as president. He started making an impact but media has confused me on what happened. Again modern day colonizers enslave and oppress it seems.

Your ignorance about History 101 is horrendous. Blacks came the Americas on the XVI century, as slaves of Spanish or British colonizers. America was already populated by INDIGENOUS NATIVE TRIBES.

the presnt afro american bolivian people never were slaves they have been bought from 3 ships from brasil for 2 rich bolivian white families Pinedo is one of the last names, i acnt remember the othe one, these families gace them freedom! the slaves that came before of the republic like slaves, in the presen day they are in Peru , after the indepndence they decided to imigrated to peru cause the bad memories of the slavery and the indegeneus capatacez! do more research please!!
