I remember that performance live by Olga Korbit at the Montreal Forum as a kid! The crowd and judges were stunned! She got a perfect 10 (of course) and it became "The Korbut flip" (the Dead Loop). She now lives in Montreal! I was not aware it was now outlawed now though. Interesting!

I'm rocking with the Army pilot. In the Army Reserve, my Drill Sgt command had a motivation weekend for recruits not yet attended basic training.......little did they know. One of the blackhawk pilots was going to retire after 35+ years of service. After all the recruits got their "dose", ALL of the Drill Sgts asked for this pilot's nightmare carnival ride. He wanted everyone to have a quarter size rock in their hands. I'm here to tell you, there's nothing like looking out the side to see the sky and ground switch places. The next instant, we did a high g rise and drop over power lines that made our rock rise, pause its position, then float like a feather back in our palms. In true leadership fashion, we all added to the pool of cash for his retirement champagne shower upon landing, then spent a couple minutes relearning the direction of gravity.

One of the most overlooked talents in this video that appears to be underappreciated was the helicopter pilot. It takes a lot of skill and practice just to learn how to fly one in the first place. Yet to be able to have that kind of control and maneuverability without the engine(s) going into a stall is quite impressive.

@@skilz8098, No kidding. I mean I could do some pretty impressive maneuvers in the video game 'PlanetSide 2' with a VS Scythe. But even then it took a *lot* of practice, and a *lot* or respawns. In real life, you ain't got a second chance if you crash.
@skilz8098

@buckrodgers1162
@buckrodgers1162 Жыл бұрын
@@skilz8098, Oh yeah, I understood it perfectly. I mean a video game is no where near the 'danger level', or even has the complexity, of real life; But there where some maneuvers I was doing in that Scythe on a whim, that a lot of others could only hope to do once by accident. Like one of them being an 'ascending reverse U-turn, into a diving reverse U-turn' to get behind an enemy aircraft that was on my tail. Not many could pull it off, without getting broadsided by the tailing fighter's guns. That Apache pilot in the vid looked like he did half of the first part (1/4) of that maneuver. And the maneuver in itself is difficult to do, let alone under fire. And to be able to practice it, without ever crashing, that's a whole other level of skill.

That is why they are star athletes. They are blessed with amazing reflexes. I was fortunate enough to go to a hockey school with Gordie Howe. At the school, he had all the young players gather around him. I was in the front row. Gordie put the toe of his hockey stick on the puck. He said who is going to take the puck away from me? My talent is writing rather well. Proper grammar and everything, I hardly ever make spelling mistakes. No practice. No lessons to do this kind of stuff. I started writing this well and smoothly in my last year of preschool, and it only got better. It’s just a pure talent I have, my parents can’t explain it. Every time I summarize something, write a story, make an article on history (I’m low-key history / social studies obsessed. ) and show it to my teacher or parents, they are blown away with my grammar talents and my amazing handwriting. The first time this talent of mine really stood out to everyone was when I was writing a 5th grade paragraph on the Eerie Canal. I read the information I gathered and put onto the paper, and the teacher was shocked. She asked, “Was this all in your own words or did you take things out of the paragraph?” I smiled, laughed a bit, and responded: “No. All this is in my own words.” The entire class started clapping, they were shocked with how good I was at wording things, and using commas and periods at the right times.
@mygghunter
@mygghunter Жыл бұрын
You don't need spaces next to slashes (so history/social studies instead of history / social studies) and there is s period and a space incorrectly added inside your parenthesis. It should be (...obsessed) instead of (...obsessed. ). And yes, I am fun at parties. Not a native speaker though so might be incorrect.

@@XxGRiMxREAP3RxX *HAHAHA! (of course we're just joking) But being serious for a moment if I received such a request for mentorship honestly, I barely have enough time myself & I'm not sure where I'd start when it comes to being an adequate mentor of such skills.* *With all that said, if there is not a sufficient public "obstacle" course to practice at, consider setting something up in your backyard or in your apartment. Of all the parkour skills to master, it is just my opinion, consider focusing on the tumble after you land because the better you are at transferring your kinetic energy to the ground the higher drops you can comfortably handle. And then practice your finger grip & forearm pull ups. Lastly, don't skimp on stretching before hand.* *Liberty = Peace & I pray you always enjoy both!*

3:00 - That's a tad less impressive after you've seen - in person - people drive regular _busses_ on two wheels like that to test and demonstrate the difference with and without assist systems... 😅 (oh, and without needing ramps to get the thing on two wheels, just steering and accelerating/braking)

I seem to have an unusual talent. I can shoot rubber bands with amazing accuracy. I've shot flies out of the air, I've destroyed wasp nests, and I can hit a target the size of a quarter from across the room. The ability came in handy one night when I found an angry hornet in my living room. One shot and he was no more. Try it, but use larger rubber bands, like 1/4" in width and 2" in diameter.

I have done similar, but the fly has to have landed on something. I can't shoot them out of the air. Or hit a small target across the room.
