I CAN. I am very addicted to movies. Since a child, I must watch movies every day before i go to bed at a 15 minutes. But, i can go without it during exam weeks even if there are family members watching when i am studying. I am that sort of person. Once i set my mind, I can resist what liked the most.

I have a mobile phone that is in my purse....turned off. It was purchased so if I am on the road and have car trouble I can call someone for help and that's actually what I use it for. I probably don't average five minutes on my cell phone per month! I am currently on my computer and I have no problem leaving home without having access to my encyclopedias and maps and my pictures and my flashlight and every song I ever purchased and every book I ever bought and, believe it or not, if I am not at home and someone needs to call me they can leave a message on my answering machine (yes, I still have one of those) and I will return their call when I get back home. I'm not a doctor so probably no one is going to bleed to death if they cannot get in touch with me for a few hours and I'm not a cop so if someone needs help I hope they will call 911 and get that help from professionals who actually know what they are doing. If someone has some bad news...like someone I love has died...I probably won't regret going on being blissfully unware of that death until I finish my mindless shopping spree. The only time I would regret missing a call would be if someone is near death and if I don't come to the hospital IMMEDIATELY I will not see them alive and how many times in my life have I received a call like that? Actually, never so that doesn't make me think I need to walk around with a cell phone attached to my body....just in case. And of course we can't really have the phone in our pocket or in our purse...we have to carry it in our hand so everyone is aware that we have a phone and we are so important that we have to be available at all times! I guess it is obvious that I am not a big fan of cell phones. BTW, when I get a call from a friend who just wants to chat, I MUCH prefer that I do that chatting from the privacy of my own home, from the comfort of my favorite chair, NOT while I am waiting at the counter at McDonald's with 15 or so interested people standing nearby eavesdropping on me or while the cashier at Kroger's is trying to get me to pay for my order but can't get my attention because I'm too busy running my mouth to someone on my phone. Meanwhile the people behind me are wishing I had that cell phone in some deep dark place instead of glued to my ear. I think my biggest problem with cell phones is that because we have never been taught we do not have even the most basic idea of etiquette regarding it's usage. That's why when I am eating out with a friend she thinks nothing of answering a call and sitting there shooting the breeze while I sit there looking stupid waiting for her to hang up! That's just plain rude! That actually happened...once...and I decided right then and there that the next time I am out with someone and they start chatting with someone else on their phone I am going to get up and go home! That is the end of my rant!

My god. I left my work and personal phones on the plane on my first work trip to Russia. Flight was London to Moscow and like an idiot left them in the seat pocket. I realised in the baggage hall, tried to go back and nearly arrested by Russian security. I was so scared and lost. Amazingly the British Airways cabin crew found them and phoned the ‘if found’ number on my phone screen. My London office managed to trace me and I got them back after a trip back to Domodedovo airport the next day. Such a frightening 24 hours! 😂

I have a really bad memory, so I can't remember road names or how I get to new places, so if my phone dies when I am out somewhere new, I actually have panic attacks because I don't know how to get home and can't remember directions. It's happened to me a couple of times and I had a full-blown panic attack both times. The instant my phone drops below 50%, it goes on the charger.
