The People's Court

Күн бұрын

The plaintiff says the defendants, her former roommates, were horrible people who harassed her and didn’t pay any rent. She is suing for unpaid costs. The defendants claim they were told they were allowed to live there rent-free while they got on their feet. They deny owing any money.

A true example of the adage " no good deed goes unpunished". She's kind enough to take them in and they leeched off of her, and then refuse to leave. Total scammers. And they absolutely put bleach in the shampoo. You could see the glee in their faces and the snickering when the plaintiff described what happened.

I had to comment on this one even though the video is few months old. When that attorney was asking people outside about being grateful or however he versed it, he is obviously not speaking to anyone who has been in the plaintiff's position. I've helped out two different people at two different times. First one my husband and I didn't put down any hard rules and we suffered for that later in the worst way. Second one we laid down rules along with time frame. We had problems but nothing like the first one. Its shame that people do take advantage of someone's generousity.

I feel for the girl. I had worked with a guy for about a year and found out he had been living in his broken down car parked in his sister's boyfriend's yard and it was almost winter. So, one day I told him I have a bedroom he can rent out and as long as he cleaned up after himself and took it easy on the electric usage (and no one staying overnight) I would rent him a room for $250.00 a month. This included water, sewer, trash, electric, use of my kitchen and cooking pans and dishes etc. And he got to use my washer and dryer. He also had access to my TV and movies and internet. It was a large 4 bedroom 2 story home and I was by myself with my cat and sugar glider. Anyway, he paid me weekly so much which I was fine with. All went well for 40 days then he comes to me asking me if his "wife" could move in. He went out with this chic whom I never even met for 3 weeks and married her. I told him no, but he was welcome to move out at any time. 5 weeks went by and no rent was paid. I left s note on his door reminding him. I get my electric bill a week afterwards... over $260.00! The most my electric ever was, was $100.00. SO I left him a note about the electric usage issue. He paid me $150 and told me he would have the rest just slightly after Xmas. Fine! The day came and went and no money and I didn't see him either. Cone to find out he took off to his parents because some family member had died. He never told me he was going to be gone and for how long. BY 3rd week of January I had to message him thru Facebook to let him know he needed to pay up $850 was what was due or he couldn't live here any longer. No response. I finally entered into the bedroom. A lot of crap all over the place and get this... He left this radio on with the sound off. He had this old TV on with the sound off. He also had this dinosaur computer system on with the sound off. This crap was running none-stop for over a month. I got another $200+ electric bill. It cost me $85 to get his junk trashed. I also found out I was missing items from my bedroom such as an iPod, an expensive perfume, a necklace, and a Bath N Bodyworks Giftset my then boyfriend had given me as a surprise back at the end of Nov. The butthead also hung some type of red liquid candy bag off the blinds and it dripped into the window sliding area and my window was stuck closed. It also got all over the brand new carpeting which had to be ripped out. He still has two kids he doesn't keep up child support for and he still lives with his parents. NEVER AGAIN will I do a fav. for anyone.

Knorkooli I was in a similar situation. I rented my home out to this couple who completely destroyed it. They broke the doors they had a kid and she completely wrote on the walls and trash and old furniture all over my property. The wood floors were rotten from cat and dog piss. When I went to check in on it I found another couple with kids and their friends living there so there was about ten people living in my house. (My house is out of state) They made my house into a crack house. The police got involved because I literally couldn’t kick them out I was being threatened. Like the cops told me: let this be your lesson. NEVER AGAIN!
