Sweet memories for me. My mom and I worked for a Japanese tour company and every year, we'd get mochi for New Years. She was a manager, and the entire company would donate their mochi so she could make Ozoni for everyone, which she would have prepared by the time everyone came back to the main office. She passed away last year and many of our former co-workers shared memories of her cooking for everyone, especially for New Year's because many of them hadn't been able to enjoy New Year's Ozoni had it not been for her since we were on Guam. ❤ Thanks for this episode
