Too late for that, Pep didn’t like him scoring at will and getting so much attention and power… pulled him off, made unnecessary points in public… pulling him off when he was in a double hattrick… you had Halaand in his prime and then took his edge away from him. He needed to have moved clubs after last season but he’s a City fan and of course a defending champion… hope to see him smiling elsewhere for his sake.

Doku should have started. The only time in 70mins grealish actually got into the box and shot was when he was coming off and doku was warming up . Constantly gets to edge of the by line and plays it back to the corner of the 18yrd box .. no wonder haaland looks shit.

In 15-20 years you won’t remember Real Madrid defending like this against City in a QF. Instead you’ll remember them going on to potentially win their 15th Champions League title. If you want to pay money to watch your team pointlessly dominate the ball and not come away with the win, that’s up to you. It says more about City than Madrid. If a team tactically sets up to stop you scoring, they are doing exactly what they should be and you need to find an answer. City found no answer and Madrid gambled on penalties. This is how elite level football functions. If you think football is about only being entertained and not winning then I don’t know what to tell you. Besides, the EPL can't afford for City to win the league 4 consecutive times, that would be an unprecedented and an unbreakable record, especially held by a club that is suspicious. Why haven't they determined on the charges yet? What, because they have money? The longer they take, the more chances that this team that came from out of absolutely nowhere, has to win more titles, and it's not like if they should be found guilty, they would strip them of these titles. All of a sudden City can dominate the most competitive league in Europe. All of a sudden City can even compete and dominate giants like Bayern, Barca and Real Madrid. I didn't even know that City had fans, honestly, because they are not an established club. They are a "hurry come up" club, that has no foundation.

Madrid played in their own box without even an attempted shot for more than 93 minutes. They played like a small team and the best team lost. City should have played more directly in both legs and City players should have played more like Doku. Too many diagonal passes. Madrid's most of CL wins in the past are undeserving, and I can't say the same thing for other clubs. I personally enjoy small teams defending like the 2004 Greece national team but imagine that Greece national team happen to appear on every World or European cup. That's Madrid in CL always - playing for a result, and always lucky. Terrible for football

Real Madrid are kings of Champions League because they are kings of the dark game. Cry, lose time, defend and wait for something. Unfortunately, this is the the way Champions league is won. Not the beautiful way of Guardiola.
