I was jamming to Curtis Mayfields classic under the same title and this single popped up and OMG... I’m so impressed. I’ve never heard of this artist but I must admit, he did a fantastic job covering this tune. Kudo’s to you Senior Marquez. You and this lovely lady then followed this up with my all time favorite by Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes “ You know how to make me feel so good” Bravo 🙌 🥰❤️

Beautiful Rendition of a beautiful song 🎶full of swag. - The duet and the Mexican Mariachi music was a great touch. Also the video made me think of how I wanted and worked for things when I was younger. Now I can enjoy these things now through the grace of God. Pepe was driving the car that he wanted when he was a kid, now that he has become an accomplished man, he has the car and he has the mutual love and respect of an accomplished woman. In addition, Pepe is able to share a great message about gratitude through his musicianship. I stumbled on here a few months ago and I'm so glad I did. I could write a book about what this music and era meant to me as a young man growing up in The Boogie Down Bronx NYC of the 60's and 70's. It wasn't easy, but I wouldn't trade the experience for anything else in the world. Sending much love and respect to my brothers and sisters on the west coast for keeping this sound alive. Wishing you continued success as you bless us with your music. If you ever come to NYC to perform, I will definitely be there and will try to bring as many folks from the old neighborhood to hear you guys jam. PEACE...✌

I remember the ol' skool backyard parties we had in the Bronx with all the people I knew back then. Even some of the blacks were welcome into our gigs! This jam, originally recorded by William DeVaughn was part of the scene! Hearing this music while eating White Castle burgers made it worthwhile! I miss those days!

Right there with you brother, life experience during those days made me what I am today! Thank God for the times during the late 60's and early 70's. My brothers and I were sent to a all black school during the late 60's only 7 whites going to Price high school in atl. I wish ya'll could have experience what we went through!! Best Time of MyLife!!!!! It' was God that let me go through what it was like to wear the shoes of others to see life like I never knew!! Would not change my life for nothing!! My best mentors came from that experience!! Thank you for allowing me to go through that!!!!! If nothing else just the music it let me experience!! Damn I was blessed and didn't even know it back then!! Music is so important to my life!! Open your heart to what's going on around you and don't be so quick to judge others till you put yourself in their shoes!! Love where your at in life and give love whenever you can you never know who you can change from doing that!! It sure change me!!
