This is literally true. Pepper spray is 2,000,000-5,000,000 scovilles; The Last Dab, which is readily available and actually pretty tasty, is 2,000,000. The hottest relatively common sauces you can buy are 7,000,000-9,000,000--and that's without getting into extract sauces, which can go all the way to pure capsaicin at 16,000,000 but also they taste absolutely awful, something goes terribly wrong in that process. Do not recommend, stick to Ed's methods and use real peppers.

Just a reminder that this guy sampled the hottest peppers on Earth and ranked them like he was sampling gourmet chocolates. If he thinks a sauce is pretty hot, it can essentially be considered a weapon of mass destruction.

There's plenty of people with absolutely insane heat tolerance. As a pepper head myself, I've seen some people that don't even really eat hot stuff, handle super hot stuff better than me! Trust me, theres people that are just built different .

But, you know, with some ginger and basil in it. Nothing too crazy. Just two quarts of a full-send big mistake, and we'll call it a day.

This guy is a beast, just standing there over the pot like nothing :D. I made some hot sauces with habaneros, bird's eye and tiny bit of dried trinidad scorpions and I had to stir, while standing like 1,5 metres away with my hand outstreched and windows open everywhere in order to not have a coughing fit. I rembember when I microwaved a sandwich with habanero slices on top once with no ventilation whatsoever and it sent everyone on my floor coughing and even went up the stairs to the second floor. Capsaicin fumes are no joke.

Just so everyone knows, Pepper X is confirmed real now by Guinness Book of World Records. It is officially the world's hottest pepper. Since the capsaicin scale is logarithmic, it's about 3x hotter than the Carolina Reaper. It made Chili Klaus speechless and mumbling like a baby on Hot Ones. 'Nuff said.
