They are the names of Towns and Cities. Sausalito is in California. They have always named their Cookies after places. Milano is in Italy.

Oh yes, we understand that, but we would like to know why they chose that particular name for that particular cookie.

@@TamiDunn I also want to know which Lexington it's named after! There are surely a lot of them... since I go to school in MA the Lexington over by Boston comes to mind and I hadn't even considered the Lexington in VA or KY!

Thanks for reviewing these. Maui is my favorite but I would like to try the Lexington. It’s about the only one I haven’t tasted. I catch them on sale in my store for $2.50 and sometimes a special at $2.00. That’s when I buy them. I enjoy their variety of cookies. Enjoy a sweet and sunny day.

Did a little digging and found some info on how they name them and pasted it here for you to read: "Pepperidge Farms founder Margaret Rudkin began her tradition of naming cookies after cities during her trip through Europe (in the 1950s) aboard the Queen Mary. The trip resulted in the European Collection...The Pepperidge Farm team continues the tradition with its American collection. These cookies are an "'opportunity to celebrate popular domestic holiday destinations that cookie lovers have enjoyed"..."they chose the names for the positive images, evocations, and aspirations that they conjure from our collective consciousness. That makes it "bigger" than cookies, much like Nike's "just do it" and Apple's "think different" elevate them (beyond sneakers and computers)." So still not a super specific description of why each one actually "evokes" qualities of the individual cities, but it's something. Also found this article about the Lexington cookie specifically from a Massachusetts based site because there's a Lexington there too: www.wickedlocal.com/article/20111128/NEWS/311289659

I looked around on the channel and saw that you've never reviewed Chicken in a Biskit or Vegetable Thins crackers before. I see them all the time at every grocery store but I've never seen anyone actually buy them, so I picked up a box of Vegetable Thins and I was surprised by how good they were.

I’ve always love the Pepperidge Farm cookies. I don’t buy them often as they are dangerous in my house. Especially the crispy ones. The quality has always been a notch above say a chips ahoy etc. the mix in are big so you don’t alway get some in every bite. I kind of remember them in the past being bigger and having a more buttery flavor. I can usually find them on sale 2/$6.00. Thanks for the review! 🍪😋

My favorite is the Sausalito. Sausalito is a city north of San Fransisco, but I don't get the connection to Macadamia nuts. I have a jar of macadamia nut butter that I'd like to dip the cookies in. I've read that Pepperidge Farms cookies were named after European cities their founder Margaret Rudkin visited while voyaging on The Queen Mary. Vienna, Milano, Brussels, etc. As far as the American city names, I've read on a website, "These cookies are "an opportunity to celebrate popular domestic holiday destinations that cookie lovers have enjoyed for destinations," according to Pepperidge Farm." Is Lexington, KY a popular holiday destination for cookie lovers?

I absolutely love the Santa Cruz ones. I agree with you about the “adult” cookies. I can buy my brother an entire pack of Chips Ahoy and he’d be set!

They need to hire you to write the stories on their packaging!!! 🥳 I can eat an entire bag if I’m not careful, lol! Their packaging is so irritating but the taste of the cookies makes up for it!

I’m with you Tammy my one complaint about Pepperidge Farm cookies is the packaging they’re really hard to open and then impossible to reseal I love the brand because it has great ingredients but the packaging really needs some help please Pepperidge farm come up with an easier to open package that is resealable!!

is the base of the cookie the same among all the varieties (these and the Chesapeakes & Tahoes from the previous video)? in other words, are they using the same cookie dough (other than the Santa Cruz), then just adding different chocolates & types of nuts to make the different kinds? because I love the Chesapeakes, but I've never tried the others (did try the Captivas, didn't care for them, I thought the chocolates 'clashed,' if that makes sense)

I never felt like these 8 in a pack Pepperidge Farm cookies were a great value for the money. I tend to pick their Milano cookies. They are smaller but you get so much more, so I have convinced myself that they are a better value. Also, I only buy them on sale!

I use to love Drake's Coconut Cookies (had a real coconut and condense cream flavor) and Drake's Lemon cookies as a child. I was hoping PF's Maui had a strong flavor. Whenever I get the urge for the Maui cookies, I can't find them. When O have the taste for something else they're front and center, on sale too. 🤣🤣🤣
