One thing about riptide the song is that not only is the name fitting, the vibe of the song fits as well, like it fits in many many scenarios really but theres this wonder, magic like thing about the song, or maybe nonsensical is a better term? Abstract? Idk the song just makes me think of the white rabbit from alice in wonderland and well this magic, mystical vibe is what i imagine the world without mist to sound like, if you accept the monster and god drama part, if you're not in midst of it all but instead observing on the sidelines, it's like you see all these crazy things happen and on the one hand there's a distance to the whole stuff and the objectivity that comes with being the outsider but on the other hand, exactly becaude you're the outsider there's this amazement and excitement because it's so different from your own life and it's something new, something fresh, something delighful because it changes your perspective on things. Riptide feel like when you're stuck between the two sides i just described and at the same time you're listening to a narrator talk about these fantastical stories that shouldn't exist Idk jow to explain it man i meaj its natural because for one human feelings are nonsensical and abstract, for two the songtext of riptide kinda is as well, just a bunch of stories about peiple and then the narrator's own story

I don’t mind the casting of the new movie I however love the fan art and really hope Percy has the same attitude as in the books if he doesn’t i will cry
