Keeping the book aside, i love the cast even if they don’t look 12, the taxi scene was fire, the sets and special effects were awesome, the oracle scene, pegasus, the best one was bull scene And of course “ you don’t even know what i was gonna say”. 😂

I read the books and the main cast pretty much are close to what I imagined them to be. Sure, they are very old compared to their book version but they somehow got Annabeth's and Percy's traits.

they are not fates (Morai or Parcae in mythology) but the Grae (or the Grey Sister), sisters of the Gorgons. Disney used they for its Fates desing, but they are two different groups.

You know as inaccurate to the original lore this movie was made from I can’t help but be impressed with the grey sisters as in Disney Hercules/Heracules they had the sisters of fate sharing the one eyeball when In fact it is the grey sisters also in Greek mythology hades takes away their eye until they tell him what he wants to know which is exactly what Percy does the nephew of hades the onto thing is the grey sisters also share one tooth overall I’ve got to give them props for that the movie is still objectively terrible tho

@@saadkamal5528 not a ripped off in concept. but the way this whole taxi scene was shot look very similar to Knight Bus scene. The music choice, cut design, and the chaotic driving. Filmmakers definitely took inspiration from Alfonso’s take on Knight Bus.

To be informative, the Mist perfume is technically a recap of the actual Mist in the book first mentioned in the Lightning Thief. The Mist is a magical gate that blocks what mortals can see from the actual, real, mythological world. By the end of Sea of Monsters, we learn that magical beings can control the Mist by snapping. Another thing, the Grey Sisters share an eye *and a tooth*. Shall I also mention that they're wise, not friends of the Oracle. In the book, the cab is supposed to appear on the spot you had dropped your drachma. Also in the book; Grover was still with Polyphemus at the time we meet the Grey Sisters. The driving sister is called Wasp, the middle is Anger and the third is Tempest.

They are. Annebath finds Percy running from the gymnasium where him and Tyson got into a fight with Laistrogonians. She takes them to camp by calling the cab. The scene plays exactly like it does here.

IDK if I'll be hunted down for this. But I kind of prefer the movies over the Disney+ series. I mean OBVIOUSLY the books are superior to both so PLEASE put down the torches and pitchforks. While the series obviously can cram in more mythology into the series. It's mostly from exposition and dialogue. It's focusing to much on tell-don't-show story telling and less on visual. Hoh, brace for impact. Though the characters in the series are doing a good job so far. They feel watered out in comparison to the movie. Then of course they're child actors so maybe there shouldn't be such a high ribbon on that account. The exception being Ares. GODS I love this guy! Adam Copeland delivered his role perfectly as the god of war. On their own. The movies ain't that bad. Obviously they're FAR and I mean FAR from masterpieces and the Author of the books clearly pointed out his disinterests. But IDK. That's just my dumb little opinion.

Okay in the Greek myth the gray sisters only have one TOOTH and one eye. The movies are so annoying and Grover wasn’t there in that part AND in the book Tyson was freaking out in the car

Even though he is a cyclops he has two eyes. Good thing he has two eyes because the the one eye look was kind of creeping me. The three cab drivers reminded me of the fates from Hercules. Maybe they are the fates because they only have one eye ball and all three only have empty eye holes. But one of the fates has only one eye hole for the one eye ball. So this does not fit with the whole look thing but telling the fate of other people is definitely for sure.

He's a cyclop, what did you expect? the two eyes are just a illusion. No they are not the Fates, i think you are influenced by Hercule disney movie. Passing from goddesses of destiny to taxi drivers is quite the step down lol. No, thoses are the Graeae, the older sisters of the Gorgons. They are very very old and know a great deal but aren't really considered deities.

In fact, the ones in " Hercules " were mixed with three others sisters. The one who share one eye (and in one version also a tooth) are the Grey Sisters who are also the eldest sisters of the Gorgons (Persée used the same trick for knowing where the Gorgons live) but they don’t cut the thread. That's the job of the Fates sisters
